Kanye kicks off 2009 by snagging Vibe magazine’s February 2009 issue. How appropriate for Valentine’s Day, ehh?! Don’t get hyped the image above ain’t the cover, but rather a limited edition Vibe sticker…enjoy!

Apparently skaterboy TK lacked patience and understanding…its nice to hear there are girls out there who are willing to wait on premaritial sex and hold out until marriage. But in today’s overly sexed society, are men still checking for virginal chicks?

The lovely Keyshia Cole covers the January 12th issue of JET Magazine where she talks about her latest album, A Different Me, her new image, and her BET hit reality show, “The Way It Is.”
You can also check out Keyshia talking about being single and sorta taking shots at Young Jeezy, hmmm…I’m saying if it’s over, it’s over- why give him anymore shine by talking about him. Clearly the fool wasn’t that into you, so please LET IT GO!
Here’s the third and hopefully final version of Eminem’s “Crack A Bottle” set to be on Slim Shady’s comback album. Dr. Dre & Curtis join in for a few bars. It’s nice to see the Aftermath team reunited, but the true all-star here is Dr. Dre…he’s been teasing us for years and now he’s making a rare appearance on the mic. NICE!
“Weezy to Quezzy”…WTF?! Talk about an ackward banterish introduction.
Surprisingly enough the Quizno rat look-a-like rapper managed clean cut image and dare I say knowledgeable debate. Could I have been wrong about Lil’ Wayne’s ignant a$$?…maybe?
Homie, Blogxilla, sent over this video of Teyana Taylor doing Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” at some show in Brooklyn, NY. The choreography was on point, although I would’ve prefered to see Teyana do her thing in heels…it adds that diva quality. I was definitely not ready for this. Try to ignore the crazed stan screaming “Go-Go Teyana” in the background. Just a tad bit excited, ya think!…
Entertainment Weekly recently listed the top ten albums to look out for in ‘09. I can definitely co-sign many of their selections especially Maxwell- he’s comeback is long overdue. As for Dr. Dre’s Detox, I’ll believe it when I see it!
1. Jay-Z - The Blueprint 3 (released under Live Nation)
2. Kelly Clarkson - Title TBA
3. Eminem - Relapse
4. Maxwell - Black Summers’ Night
5. Lily Allen - It’s Not Me, It’s You
6. Keri Hilson - In a Perfect World
7. D’Angelo - Title TBA
8. Missy Elliott - Block Party
9. Erykah Badu - New Amerykah, Pt. 2: Return of Ankh
10. Dr. Dre - Detox
Hopefully none of these joints get pushed back, but with the fickle industry we’re in who knows…
Here are a few of our honorable mentions:
Mos Def- The Ecstatic
Busta Rhymes- Back on My BS (with features by Lil’ Wayne, Akon, Common, T.I.- WOW!)
Andre 3000- TBA
Prince- MPLSOUND, Lotus Flower, Elixir ( 3 albums in one year, woozers!)
Lupe Fiasco- LupE.N.D. (three-disc effort, really?)
Not sure if it’s official but figured its worth a post. Check out the album cover for Keri Hilson’s debut album In A Perfect World scheduled to drop in early ‘09. I’m riding for this chick…very humble, sweet and with the talent and looks she has the potential to knock Rihanna of the top spot.
According to NY Daily News, former Danity Kane/bad girl, Aubrey O’Day is shedding her clothes for the March issue of Playboy. O’Day is rumored to be receiving a $500,000 payday for the March cover shoot. A source tells the Daily News, “For that kind of money, she was like ‘Why not?’” Ya might remember the train wreck bared all for a PETA ad in People and that shocking Complex magazine spread. Clearly the girl loves being naked. Be on the look out for the cover…in the meantime check out Aubrey shaking her money maker in this candid video.
50 Cent’s first single “Get Up” got lukewarm welcome. Will Dr. Dre’s new produced joint “Get It In” give Fifty the hit he so desperately needs. Can we finally look forward to Before I Self Destruct?
