In his single “Do That There”, Yung Berg threw some shots at Bow Wow mocking him in the song’s opening lines: “It’s too late to start writing your rhymes, homie/ we’ve been doing this.” And of course no beef would be complete without Fifty getting involved.
Yung Berg tells XXL,
“First and foremost, 50 told me some smart shit. 50 told me move him [Bow Wow] out the game, period. He told me to crush him. He told me demolish him. He told me do the ‘Do That There’ remix with him on it and then come up with my diss record and totally move him out of music. But, I don’t wanna do that. I can see me and Bow fucking a lot of bitches together. My whole thing is either you’re going to be an alliance on this [Snoop Dogg] tour this summer, or it’s, ‘Fuck you!’ Period. I don’t need you as a friend. I came in the game by myself.”
As for now Yung Berg and Bow Wow are keepin’ it peace, so Fifty’s offer may just to have to wait. Anywhoo, Bow Wow may appear on Yung Berg’s “One Night” which already features Trey Songz. But, he’s making it clear that he’s only offering Bow Wow one of two choices.
“If he gets on the record then we’re cool,” Berg explained. “If he doesn’t cause he doesn’t want to, that’s fine. If he doesn’t cause he doesn’t get cleared cause of his current situation, I’m on his head again.”

Move over Beyonce, Lil’ sis Solange is definitely trying to make a name for herself! It’s official Solange will drop her second album Sol-Angel and The Hadley Street Dreams on August 26. “Sol-Angel and The Hadley Street Dreams” is the follow up to Solo Star which dropped in 2003 and sold 112, 000 copies in the U.S.Although Solange enlisted help from producers and songwriters she knew would capture that certain something, the hardest part was getting them to believe in her.
“I literally had to beg Cee-Lo to listen to my music but once he did he signed on immediately. We wrote and recorded “T.O.N.Y” and Sandcastle Disco that same week.”
WOW! Beg, really? Wouldn’t being Beyonce’s sister be enough for someone to co-sign…guess not.

Apparently having her album pushed back to June 3rd gives Ashanti a whole lot of time to perfect her craft (lord knows she needed it too) as well as deliver her female fans with an album that it is in many ways about “womanhood and empowerment”. Not only has she been working on her album, but she’s also working on another book titled Ashanti Style which is a teen-centered lifestyle book. Folks, she’s not the same hoodbooger who used to ride hard for Murda INC, she’s all grown up now! Here’s what she had to say about her new album The Declaration:
“The Declaration” touches on those low points in life that determine whether you’re strong enough to go on. It reminds women that they can’t let things get the best of them.”
You guys can expect to hear two tracks entitled “Mother”, which of course is inspired by Ashanti’s close relationship with her own mother, and “Click”, which according to her is “a relationship record done from a female point of view. It’s about when you’re trying to get in contact with someone you’re seeing but he’s not answering, and by the time he calls you feel like, ‘I don’t want to talk to you now.”
Ashanti has definitely made it clear that she’s declared herself a grown ass woman! Damn, Nelly must be hittin’ her off with that serious pipe game. Anywhoo, I ain’t even gonna front. I must admit that I am feelin’ her first single titled “The Way That I Love You”. That joint is hard…sh*t the rest of the album better be too!
MiMi is engaging in some bad business. Snitches say NBC is tight with the diva, her manager Benny Medina and her peeps at Def Jam, because they promised she would perform on NBC’s “Today” show to promote her album, “E=MC2″. But, instead she ended up performing for rival morning show ABC’s “Good Morning America”.
According to a snitch,
“Every morning show wanted Mariah on for her new album, so Benny started negotiating. He demanded that ‘Today’ promote her fragrance and also give her a guest-star role on ‘My Name is Earl.’ They agreed. But her “My Name Is Earl” part, which was to coincide with the album release, was put off when it was decided the album needed work. It was supposed to come out in November, then it was pushed back until February, and now the release date is April 15.”
Come to find out the whole time Benny was telling NBC that it would get Mimi for its concert series on Rockefeller Plaza his ass did a side deal with GMA, even after NBC agreed to all of his damn demands! To make matters worse he straight played NBC by not returning their phone calls. SMH…
Benny told Page Six,
“We want to do something really spectacular for Mariah’s album debut. I don’t want ‘Today’ to feel disrespected by me trying to do right by my client. But when we went on ‘GMA’ [two years ago], they closed down Times Square. It got great ratings and was a big success.”
He also denies promising NBC that Mimi would perform in concert on Rockefeller Plaza.
“If they can show me an e-mail from anyone committing to the concert, I will personally pay for the entire production myself,” he said.
In other words, Benny is saying that the “Today” show and everyone and everything at NBC is wack! Seems like Ms. Mimi is too big of a star to perform for NBC’s lil’ concert series. LOL! Now, Benny was wrong for bullsh*ttin’ NBC, but hopefully they’ll learn how to keep potential clients from going to ABC in the future.
