A while back, we gave you guys a sneak peek at Kelly Rowland’s spread for South Africa’s Cosmopolitan magazine. Well, feast your eyes on Miss Rowland gracing the cover of the publication’s July issue. Kelly’s career is really on the come-up! And it seems like she actually has a shot at finally getting out of BFF Beyonce’s shadow.

Kelly sure knows how to strike a pose!

Last week, PaPa Knowles tried to put an end to rumors that Destiny’s Child plans to reunite. Well, MTV recently caught up with Kelly who also insists that the ladies of DC3 have no plans of hitting the studio anytime soon–especially now that she’s doing her solo thing. She says,

“I just released ‘Commander.’ I’m about to release a record, and I’m really just having fun in my own space. Destiny’s Child is a such a huge part of me. And Beyoncé and Michelle are such a huge part of me. We’re sisters, and I don’t expect anyone not to ask that question.”

So can we expect diva Beyonce and Michelle to collaborate with Kelly on her solo work in the near future?

“You know what? Anything can happen! As of right now, there is no Destiny’s Child collaboration.”

There really is no point of Destiny’s Child reuniting. A reunion would just slow down Kelly and Michelle’s solo careers as they’ll end up being overshadowed by Beyonce again.

While you may be waiting for the ladies of Destiny’s Child to reunite, don’t hold your breath ’cause it’s never going to happen! Recently, word spread the net that former bandmates Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle were working on a new album. Well, Beyonce’s daddy and the group’s former manager Mathew Knowles has issued a statement in an attempt to squash the rumor. He says,

“Contrary to rumors online of a Destiny’s Child reunion, there are no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or album. The rumors are false. Destiny’s Child made an unprecedented impact in contemporary music, becoming one of the best-selling groups of all time. Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have each moved on to successful solo careers. The members remain close, but will not reunite as a group.”

SMH @ PaPa Knowles straight up lying that the ladies “remain close”. Really?! They sure fooled me! When’s the last time you saw Kelly, Michelle and Beyonce together? *crickets*

Last night, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” hitmaker Cyndi Lauper, Kelly Rowland and Estelle took the stage at amfAR’s Inspiration Gala at the New York Public Library. Judging from the pics it seems like they put on a great show. I’m trying to figure out where Cyndi fits in the mix.

Now that she’s cut all ties with PaPa Knowles and her friendship with Beyonce is pretty much non-existent, Kelly Rowland is trying to do her own thing. And last night that’s exactly what she did! Kelly attended E!’s 20th Birthday bash at The London Hotel in West Hollywood, CA and to my surprise she posed for the photogs with ex-friend and former Destiny’s Child member LeToya Luckett on the red carpet. Other party attendees included Ne-Yo, cornball Nick Cannon, the Kardashian clan, Tyrese and a few other celebs.

So could this be the start of a revived friendship or were they just frontin’ for the cameras?! Although, Kelly keeps frontin’ she like and Beyonce are still BFF’s, I’m pretty sure she would’ve never spoken to LeToya let alone take a pic with her if Bey was still in the picture. #Imjustsayin

In her debut blog on HoneyMag.com, singer Letoya Luckett kicked things off right by talking about her situation with Destiny’s Child, setting the record straight about her and Rihanna’s current boo Matt Kemp and a few other things. Check out the excerpts below:

On being axed out of Destiny Child’s:

“I wasn’t upset about losing a chance to go to the Grammy’s or any celebrity perks. It was the loss of the friendship that was difficult. That was the hardest part of the separation. These girls [Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson] were my friends from elementary school. We went to church together, we hung out together.”

On Matt Kemp rumors:

“The experience taught me about how things can be manipulated in the public. Like with the situation with Matt Kemp. I think the blogs kind of created the whole relationship. We were friends – there was nothing more to it. When we went out, a lot of times we had lots of other mutual friends there, but people would single us out. I definitely thought he was cute, but it was never anything like that. They had it on blogs that we were dating and this happened and that happened – but that’s not it.”

LeToya definitely could’ve went in on her ex-pals, but she’s better than that. It’s pretty sad that they all no longer speak ’cause they grew up together. It’s not like they were just random girls that were put in a group together. Hopefully, these ladies can look past the Destiny’s Child drama and work on their friendship. Wouldn’t a collabo with the original members of Destiny’s Child be dope?  While, I highly doubt that’s ever gonna happen…a girl can dream right?

Flight attendants in Australia should be happy that Kelly Rowland isn’t Naomi Campbell ’cause they would’ve got their a$$es beat! Apparently, the singer flew into Sydney yesterday for a gig and wasn’t too happy with the way flight attendants treated her and her crew. Kelly ended up loosing her cool and flew into a rage–turning into the infamous angry black woman.  She says,

“I found the flight attendants really s** tty. I don’t know why. You tell me. They were very rude to us. That’s the first time you’ll ever hear me s ay a curse word. They were just rude to us on the plane. They treated us like five-year-old kids. I don’t know. Every time I’ve flown Qantas it’s always been fantastic.(But this time) it was rather unpleasant.”

Word is the incident was sparked by some passengers using their cell phones on board and others sitting in the wrong seats.

Kelly needs to realize that she’s not Beyonce. Does Bey even fly on commercial planes?!

Former Destiny’s Child members Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have finally settled a lengthy copyright dispute out of court. Singer/songwriter Rickey Allen, claimed the R&B trio’s 2004 song “Cater 2 U” was inspired by a track he composed with the same title, which was copyrighted in the mid 1990’s. According to Allen, he  handed over a version of his track to producer Maurice Joshua, who allegedly worked with the ladies in the studio. However, Joshua insists he doesn’t know what Allen is talking about ’cause he never even had a copy of the song. Back in 2006, Allen filed suit against Destiny’s Child to receive compensation in a Chicago, Illinois and the ladies were due to take the stand before a judge this week. However, they managed to avoid the court date and having to testify by taking the easy way out–settling out of court.  Allen’s attorney, Matthew Wildermuth issued a statement on behalf of his client in which he stated,

“I can confirm that yes, it (the case) did settle. All of the issues have been amicably resolved and the case is going to be dismissed. (Allen is) excited about being able to devote time to posturing his musical career.”

Meanwhile, the terms of the agreement have not been released, but the case is expected to be dismissed by a judge on Thursday.

In related news, word is BFF’s Kelly Rowland and Beyonce are beefing. Apparently, Kelly is furious with PaPa Knowles and blames him for the copyright lawsuit.  According to People, Kelly claims that PaPa Knowles has a long history of forcing songwriters to add Beyonce’s name to songs that she didn’t even write, just so she could get publishing royalties. According to a snitch, the BFF’s have been cordial since Kelly dropped PaPa Knowles as her manager, but now there’s tension in the air.

“She and Beyoncé remained cordial at first. But things have gotten tense since Kelly griped that Matthew is the cause of this lawsuit.”

And there you have it folks, as much as you Beyonce stans would like to believe the chick writes her own tracks–she doesn’t! Remember when Ne-Yo put her on blast for claiming she penned “Irreplaceable”?

A source said: “They still have another album they owe their label, Columbia Records, on their contract.”
The RnB trio parted ways back in 2005 to pursue solo careers and as planned Beyonce was the most successful. Surely Kelly & Michelle would be down for a reunion, but will Beyonce? Will Jay-Z? Will Matthew? Time will tell….

If you’re expecting Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle to reunite in the near future, then you’ve got another thing coming! According to Kelly, there will be no Destiny’s Child reunion and she wishes people would stop worrying about it. She tells PopEater,

“There is no Destiny’s Child album in the works. None of us have talked about an album or anything.”

She adds,

“And until we do, no one else should worry about it. Simmer down now!”

Is is just me or is Kelly getting a bit sassy?!
