In the latest issue of People magazine, Usher admits what we already knew–his marriage to cougar Tameka Foster just wasn’t going to work.

“I appreciate the relationship for what it was,” he says. “Even though it didn’t work out, I’m glad we got together. I love her as the mother of my children; we just couldn’t be married.”

So what happened? Well, according to the R&B singer they fought over everything from parenting to his hectic schedule.

“We’re two different people,” he says, “and we have two different goals. It just was never going to work out 100 percent.”

Gearing up for the release of his new album Raymond vs. Raymond, Usher opened up in a sit-down interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts about the public’s perception of him, his failed marriage to Tameka Foster, why he let his momager go and so much more. After being married to Tameka’s crazy a$$, Usher makes it clear that he’s not wifing up another chick up anytime soon. When asked if he’d ever get married again, he responded,

“I want to hold my horses. Adding, “I’m 31. Let me just take my time. I have two beautiful children. And managing the process of it, I want to be comfortable. You know, I’m not rushing, you know, to get old. I’m young.”

Usher’s marriage to Tameka is a perfect example of what happens when you follow your heart and not your brain. Hell, mama dearest warned him about shorty and he didn’t listen. Now look at him he’s singing about signing those papers…

We found out Rick Ross used to be a CO. Officer Ricky started beef with 50 Cent to sell records and 50 took the meaning of the word “beef” to a wholenotha level by taking Ricky’s babymama shopping and hooking her up with a book deal.

Usher finally cut Tameka Foster’s cougar ass and signed those “Papers”. Poor Tameka found out about the divorce on  the internet. A few months later, Tameka expressed how she really felt about Usher’s ass and keyed up his whip.

Lil Wayne was really on a mission to f*ck every girl in the world. The rapper knocked up three broads in less than a year–an uknown Asian chick, actress Lauren London and The Dream’s ex-wife Nivea.

Cassie’s pierced A cups and vajayjay were on display via the World Wide Web. That very same week Rihanna’s pierced chi-chis knocked her ass out of the spotlight. Unfortunately for Cassie, the naked flicks didn’t help her sell any records.

Swizz Beatz’ wife Mashonda aired out Alicia Keys for stealing her husband. We found out that Miss “Superwoman” is more than just a Grammy-Award winning singer…she’s actually a homewrecker too!

Hip-Hop’s royal couple, no not Jay-Z and Beyonce but rather Nas and Kelis called it quits citing “irreconcilable differences”. Kelis took Nas to court claiming she was broke and needed him to hit her off with some spousal support, pay her legal fees, and among other things drop $20,000 on baby Knight’s stroller, crib and other baby supplies. A judge sided with the “Milkshake” singer and ordered Nas to pay her $44,000 a month in child support.

Earlier this week, we reported that Usher finally signed those “papers” and is officially back on the market. Word is the R&B singer is loose on the prowl looking for a pretty young thing to replace his pet monster ex-wife, Tameka Foster. Apparently, Usher has his eyes set on Bajan beauty Rihanna and has been trying to court her for a minute. A snitch reveals to the National Enquirer,

“Usher has been making moves on Rihanna and she seems to like him a lot.“He calls her at least twice a day and they text all the time — he tells her how beautiful she is and that he can’t wait to show her how a woman is supposed to be treated. Usher even sends Rihanna flowers and includes a cute little quote or song-lyric message.”

The snitch claims that Rihanna really likes Usher, but she’s scared of Tameka’s crazy ass. Hell, who wouldn’t be?!

“Even though they are very interested in each other, Rihanna refuses to be seen in the public with him in a romantic setting until his divorce is final because she doesn’t want any drama with Tameka,” the snitch adds. “Right now, she’s just enjoying flirting.”

In related news, “Rated R” aka Rihanna is set to perform at the 2009 American Music Awards ceremony in L.A. on November 22nd. No word on what song the pop star will belt out nor has her camp or officials over at the AMA’s released an official statement.

Word is Usher is just frontin’ about being ready to sign those divorce papers as stated in his new single “Papers”. Apparently, Usher is delaying his divorce from Tameka Foster by failing to put his John Hancock on the legally binding documents which are preventing her from receiving her settlement money. A snitch tells Radar Online,

“Tameka thinks that it’s ironic that ‘Papers’ is his comeback single when she just wants him to sign the paperwork and finalize the divorce. The terms and conditions have been agreed on for around a month but he keeps stalling on them, and she’s the one that wants to move on with her life.”

Guess Usher is thinking twice about coughing up that bread.
