TYLER PERRY RESPONDS TO SPIKE LEE’S CRITICISM…

I definitely respect Tyler Perry for his tremendous achievement but as for his characters like Madea, they are bit “coonish”. Not saying that Spike Lee is on point with his criticism, but those offer something for us to think about. How many times do we have to see this Mammy character and the slap stick comedy in these black films.
But I mean if you think about…Spike Lee tackles hardcore real issues in the community, while Tyler focuses on the light stuff.

Yesterday Rocawear held its 10th Anniversary party at the Rocawear showroom (more pics @ ROC4LIFE and SFPL!). Some attendance included Rihanna, Spike Lee, Memphis Bleek, June Ambrose, and a load of record label honchos.

Russell Simmons and Spike Lee for a final call-to-action to encourage every person with influence to mobilize their audiences, communities and constituent bases to GET OUT THE VOTE. Some of attendees included Lil’ Kim, Fabolous, Rosci, Malik Yoba, Bow Wow, Kevin Liles, Ice-T & CoCo, LL Cool J and many more. Big ups to Uncle Russ for his proactive and empowering efforts.
