Usher Raymond graces the cover of Atlanta’s “944″ magazine’s current issue. In the cover story Usher goes in on significance of his latest album title “Raymond vs. Raymond” and the why “Papers” is not about his ex-wife Tameka Foster. Really Usher?!…could’ve fooled me.



“People just assume that Raymond v. Raymond means Usher versus his ex-wife, but it is a personal evaluation. We are our own worst enemy, and we are our greatest supporter at the same time,” he says. “Consider me naive, but I didn’t think that people would think [it was about my relationship], because I was not divorced when I came up with the name.”


Is Usher dumb as bricks or what? What else did he think people were going to think about? Did he forget his last HIT album surrounded the break-up to Chilli? This week I caught up on some new reality tv programming, specifically VH1′s “What Chilli Wants” – an inside look at Chilli living the single life, a superstar of a certain age, and taking on the dating world in search of her “ideal” man. And with the help BK’s own flamboyant relationship expert Tionna Smalls, surely this reality show will prove to be a success in terms of providing shits and giggles. But whether or not Chilli will find love and her ideal man- who’s to say. One thing is for sure… with a checklist and high standards like Chilli’s- her chances of finding a mate are borderline slim to none.


And though Chilli seems to be flirting with the idea of dating Floyd Mayweather…I still couldn’t help but wonder does Chilli still have it bad for Usher and waiting for Daddy to come home? ABC’s Darius Brown recently caught up with the superstar where she reminisced about her last love nearly seven years ago with Usher. Call me crazy but it sounds to me like Chilli is still holding out hope that Usher will come to his senses and make a move. Could you imagine if these two were to reunite and finally make it work?! Essence.com recently chopped it up with Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas about her new reality show, her love life, single motherhood, and yes Usher…

ESSENCE.COM: That’s right! How will your show be different from other dating reality shows and do you think you will truly find love?
CHILLI: Anything is possible and I do hope to meet someone fabulous. One thing is for sure, there will be no kissing on the mouth with these guys. That is so gross. That’s not a part of getting to know someone. They won’t all live in the same house either. It will definitely be a lot of fun. I’m not limiting myself to Black guys. I’m open to all men and all Black women should be. You may miss out on the man of your dreams because you are trying to stick with a brother.

ESSENCE.COM: Now, many of your fans already have the perfect guy picked for you, your ex Usher. Any chance for a reconciliation?
CHILLI: (Laughs.) I don’t know. You never know. Only the good Lord knows that. If it’s meant for us to stay apart, we will, and if it’s meant to be the other way, somehow in the future it may happen.


Not over Tameka’s dead body they wont. Ya’ll already know Tameka is lining her goon squad as we speak! But on the real, wouldn’t it be so cute if these two find their way back to each other…awww.
