As for the wedding extravaganza, he offered:

On Alicia Keys Pregnancy & Being A Mom

I’m very excited about that, children, you know, they’re a blessing and I’m very excited. We keep the energy positive. Everything surrounding kids should always be positive. That’s the number one rule.”

“Well its not this weekend!” Swizz Beatz says. ”But you know, were excited. Our union is amazing. Our union is pure. Our union is positive no matter what people say or what people think, time will tell everything and you know, silence is the best thing. We just keep it private and we do our thing and just have fun with it.”

“I’m a planner!” he tells OK!. ”I like getting into the detail of things. I’m inspired by fashion, I’m inspired by art, I’m inspired by architectural things so [I like] being involved with the wedding. I’m not the person who sits back and goes, okay, well I’ll just show up. I’m actually spearheading certain plans but it’s a nice blend, a nice partnership.”

“It’s not a superstar wedding. It’s not a gimmicky wedding. It’s a true bond of love, you know, that’s not based on having the most famous person sitting there while you’re doing it. It’s about having the closest people who really understand you as a person and that really have love for you. So it’s a small situation.”

On His Upcoming Projects

I’m working on my album which is super incredible,” he tells OK!. ”Got everybody on there from Jay-Z to John Legend to Mary [J. Blige] to Drake. Super amazing album. I’m also working on Lenny Kravitz new album, working with Cold Play, and of course Alicia!

People may have their thoughts about Swizz and Alicia’s shady relationship, but if this true love and if their happy…then best of luck.

Third times a charm for Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey who celebrated their wedding anniversary over the weekend.  Nick gave MiMi an iced out custom-made “Ring Pop” designed by Jason of Beverly Hills jewelers. The “ring pop” was made of white gold encrusted in white diamonds and pink sapphire.

Before you dismiss the gift as being a bit tacky, remember Mariah is a 12 year old lil’ girl at heart so you know she loved it. Not to mention, when Nick proposed to her he surprised her with a diamond ring disguised in a ring pop candy wrapper. I’m guessing that’s what inspired Mariah’s “Candy Bling” track off of Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel.

Who would’ve thought that another year would roll by and Mariah Carey would still be with Nick Cannon. I sure didn’t! Apparently,  the odd couple plans to get married for the third time next week.

“We get married every year! That’s our thing,” says Nick .”So it’s going to be our third wedding this year. That’s what we’ll be doing on the actual [anniversary]…We’ll do something…A party or event, just to celebrate.”

And Nick will be coppin’ Mariah another blinged out rock.

“This is the third ring I have to buy…It’ll be something different. Something good.” Her engagement ring from Jacob & Co. Jewelers cost $2.5 million. “It’s nice. “We like being married every year.”

Guess if you got the money why not get married every year.

In the April issue of Latina magazine, cover girl LaLa Vazquez dished on a few details about her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Carmelo Anthony. According to LaLa, she doesn’t have to look for the perfect dress because she already has it.

“I’ve already picked it out. But I don’t want to say the designer. It’s not Cinderella-poufy. It’s classic. It’s the dress I think of when I hear the word ‘bride’,” says LaLa.

And the bride-to-be is going all out as she’s hired top celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss who’s worked with Gwen Stefani, Eva Longaria Parker, Brooke Shields and countless other brides to create her wedding day. She says,

“It’s all up to her. I want it to be classy and fun. That’s it”.

Although, LaLa wouldn’t discuss exactly where her big day will take place she did reveal that it will be in NYC and will probably have around 250 guests.

After five years of having that ring on her finger, I’m glad they’re finally making it official. I think it’s good that they waited instead of rushing to the alter like so many other celebs whose marriages end up in divorce a few weeks after they said “I do”.
