WE HEAR…RODNEY JERKINS IS HEADED TO “AMERICAN IDOL”

Word is famed music producer Rodney Jerkins–who’s worked with just about everyone  in the music industry including Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Lady GaGa, and Brandy might be replacing Simon Cowell on “American Idol”. Simon recently announced he was stepping down as a judge on the hit reality TV talent show. And according to snitches, Rodney Jerkins might take his spot on the judges panel. Apparently, “American Idol” producers became interested in the producer after he appeared as a judge on Diddy’s reality show “Starmakers”. A snitch tells PageSix,

“He’s very Simon-esque,”

Well, reps for Rodney and “American Idol” have not confirmed the news.

Can Rodney draw in viewers like Simon? Guess, we’ll just have to wait and see how this story develops.
