Here’s an interesting tidbit you may not know about Ryan Leslie. While attending prestigious Harvard University, Ryan ran his very own barbershop right out of his dorm room. According to Ryan, this is how he paid for his expensive tuition even though running a business was forbidden on campus. He tells the NY Daily News,

“I was a bit of a rebel at college. You aren’t allowed to run businesses, but I did it anyway. It was a barbershop called Shady Eights – Shady because I wasn’t supposed to and Eights because it was $8 a cut. There was a line every weekend. All the frat boys would come and get haircuts.”
