With all the time and energy The Dream spends on penning smash hits for other artists, how does he fit his own projects into his hectic schedule?! Well, he probably knows a lil’ something about time management because he’s dropping his second album in less than a year after his debut album Love/Hate. Although the first single for his new album, “Love. vs. Money” hasn’t been chosen yet, The Dream plans to drop his album on Dec.16. He says,

“In the beginning I was just having fun. I didn’t want people thinking too hard, I just wanted them to gravitate toward my lyrics. But this time my vocals are different. I’ve definitely grown in my singing.” He adds, “LA. Reid has lots of problems on his desk; he’s definitely having a hard time choosing [a single]. It’s such a great album that he’s considering releasing two singles one for pop and one for R&B.”

Some of his favorites include “You Ain’t Sh*t”, “Fancy” which is about a chick who wants to live the glamorous life, “Right Side of My Brain”, “Make Love to Me” which he describes as a “good ol’ baby-making record”, and “Kelly’s 12 Play” which is inspired by none other than R. Kelly’s debut album. Newlywed Mariah Carey is also featured on the track “My Love”.
And for those of you who can’t seem to stop singing the lyrics to the heartbreak track “Nikki”, Dream has something special just for you! He’s including an encore to “Nikki” on the new album. The Dream’s work ethic is amazing because dude is already thinking about his third project and his second one hasn’t even been released yet! He also expressed his plans to include a song in the vein of “Nikki” as well and hopes to release a full album based on the “Nikki” chronicles at some point.
The Dream enlisted the help of a few familiar friends on “Love vs. Money”. He partnered up with producer LOS Da Maestro, who worked on most of the tracks on Love/Hate, his partner in crime Tricky Stewart, and he decided to give Lil Jon a chance, who produced a track called “Booty”.

Mr. Ella Ella is definitely making moves and with his luck this album is probably going to be a huge success.
