“In the beginning I was just having fun. I didn’t want people thinking too hard, I just wanted them to gravitate toward my lyrics. But this time my vocals are different. I’ve definitely grown in my singing.” He adds, “LA. Reid has lots of problems on his desk; he’s definitely having a hard time choosing [a single]. It’s such a great album that he’s considering releasing two singles one for pop and one for R&B.”
And for those of you who can’t seem to stop singing the lyrics to the heartbreak track “Nikki”, Dream has something special just for you! He’s including an encore to “Nikki” on the new album. The Dream’s work ethic is amazing because dude is already thinking about his third project and his second one hasn’t even been released yet! He also expressed his plans to include a song in the vein of “Nikki” as well and hopes to release a full album based on the “Nikki” chronicles at some point.
The Dream enlisted the help of a few familiar friends on “Love vs. Money”. He partnered up with producer LOS Da Maestro, who worked on most of the tracks on Love/Hate, his partner in crime Tricky Stewart, and he decided to give Lil Jon a chance, who produced a track called “Booty”.
