I guess People magazine is now in the business of publishing tasteless gossip. Now the mag is reporting Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are engaged. The “pair” have been rumored to be dating on the low and now Nick has popped the question and even gave MiMi a 20 carat pink diamond ring. No word on whether MiMi said “Yes” but Nick’s hoping the ring will seal the deal. Peep the picture on the left, MiMi is sporting the gleaming rock on her left hand while on the red carpet at the afterparty for her new film, Tennessee, on Saturday night at the Tribeca Film Festival. Word is MiMi played it extra close to her new leading man the entire night. When asked about a possible engagement, Cannon’s rep had no comment; Carey’s was unable to be reached for comment. What’s with Nick always offering these hollywood chicks rings? Nick is really “Wildin’ Out” on this one!

YBF’s Natasha has got the scoop on the real reason for Swizz Beats and Mashonda’s break-up…another woman! Alicia Keys is rumored to be the other chick in Swizzy’s life. And all this time I thought Alicia played for the same team- one minute she’s boasting about her loving relationship with Crucial Keys, the next she’s getting her rocks off with Swizz. Alicia and Swizz have been playing it on the low since January…sounds like pure tasteless gossip to me. I hate to think of Alicia as a homewrecker. We’ll just have to wait and see how this one unfolds.
