MOS DEF WANTS YOU TO WALK OUT!!!

mosdef.bmpNow, I know y’all heard about the “Jena 6″ case which has shed some light on how backwards this country is when it comes to minorties and justice. Well, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, M1 of the group Dead Prez are calling for a national student walk out in support for the “Jena 6″. It bothers me that the only rappers who actually have a positive message in their music are the only ones showing their support. Isn’t Lil’ Wayne and the rest of his posse from Louisiana??? His ass and Baby should’ve been out there last week in Louisiana rockin’ all black marching just like everyone else. Anyway, the walk out is scheduled on Monday, Oct. 1 at 12:00 p.m., the main reason for the walk out is to demand that Mychal Bell be released from the pen. Dude is the only one out of the 6 who remains locked up! SMH. If Bell is not released by 12:00 p.m. that day then that’s when everyone participating is expected to walk out of their classrooms and schools. So, show some support and WALK OUT!

    i heard the story from here and it really got on my f*cking nerves
    black people are guilty even before being judge! as a black man i feel ur pain.
    If we dont stand up for ourselves aint nobody gon do that for us, dnt expect jesus-christ to come down n talk for us, he gave us the intelligence to help each other, so let’s help each other instead of doin like ca$h money “get money and f*ck the peeps”…
    c’mon guyz do something like mos def just did it is gonna help
    i know we cant get all the innocent brother in jail out but if 1 can be save let’s help him out 100%!
