With Summer right around the corner, I began doing a quick search on free concert outdoor summer shows in NYC. Ever summer NYC never fails to amuse me with its great free outdoor musical line-ups…NYC is just amazing in the summer. While surfing through Brooklyn Vegan, I came across an extensive list on upcoming shows…be sure to check out the listing. Shortly after screening the listing, I came across a post about Kanye performing in NYC at MoMa’s Garden Party. Catching Kanye lighting up a stage for a plethora of art snobs, will definitely cost you a penny. How much? $150 is the cheapest ticket and that only gets you VIP access to his after-party. If you want VIP access at the MoMa Garden cocktail party, you’re looking at anywhere from $500 to $100,00… FOR A TABLE! So good luck gathering all your pennies to see the Louis Vutton Don shut it down.
I couldn’t help but wonder is Kanye really worth that much?? Is this money going straight to his pockets or is there some sort of charity in mind? And what about the recession? People speak ya mind…see you in the comments section.
P.S. Wouldn’t it be tight if Kanye just randomly showed up at BK Bodega’s Hip Hop Festival?…That would be amazing!
