THINGS THEY SAY: CHRIS BROWN DOESN’T GIVE “HAND ME DOWNS”

It’s undeniable that the Prince of Pop is definitely making a name for himself aside from his relationship with The Good Girl Gone Bad. Chris Brown has had success with his own hits, “Kiss, Kiss” and “With You”, he made Jordin Spark’s No. 1 hit “No Air” something actually worth listening to and gave Lil Mama’s “Shawty Get Loose” that lil’ extra R&B something it definitely needed. The “With You” chart topper has also stepped his game up by branching out of the booth and writing for other artists. According to Chris, when he pens a song for another artist he doesn’t just give them songs that he’s thrown in the trash bin, instead he creates a new track straight from the dome. He says,

“I like hearing myself sing a song I’ve written but when you hear someone else sing a song you wrote it’s actually a better feeling for me. When I write songs for other artists I don’t just give them my hand-me-downs. I feel like every artist deserves the best record people. I don’t just give them a song I didn’t use, I’ll start from scratch.”

Umm… if I’m not mistaken shouldn’t it be like that anyway?!
