CHILLI FINALLY SPEAKS OUT ON USHER BREAKUP!

chilli.jpgUsher’s Confessions album definitely had people speculating about his break-up with Chilli back in 2003. Both Usher and Chilli refused to speak about their split, despite speculation suggesting that clues to the break-up were obviously evident through some of the tracks on the album. Chilli gets personal in the April ’08 issue of Sister2Sister magazine, discussing her forthcoming solo album, balancing a career and motherhood, and why she’s still single. As for her past relationship with MANeka’s man she attempts to squash the rumors by finally putting them to rest. Here’s what she had to say:

“We were together when he was recording that album. I was in the studio with him on most of those songs, so I guess people just don’t do the math with it all. We didn’t break up because of infidelity or anything like that. We broke up because we just did not work, and that’s it. We’ve been over for like four years—probably over four years. It’s been a long time. It’s funny to me that people are still fascinated with the situation since it’s been dead for so long.”

Well, Usher definitely had the rest of the world and myself fooled! I could’ve sworn he was airing out his dirty laundry on Confessions. Anywhoo, Chilli and Usher made such a cute couple, that’s why we’re still fascinated with the situation! It’s just sad that after their break-up he completely downgraded and married a pet monster.
