This week I caught up on some new reality tv programming, specifically VH1′s “What Chilli Wants” – an inside look at Chilli living the single life, a superstar of a certain age, and taking on the dating world in search of her “ideal” man. And with the help BK’s own flamboyant relationship expert Tionna Smalls, surely this reality show will prove to be a success in terms of providing shits and giggles. But whether or not Chilli will find love and her ideal man- who’s to say. One thing is for sure… with a checklist and high standards like Chilli’s- her chances of finding a mate are borderline slim to none.


And though Chilli seems to be flirting with the idea of dating Floyd Mayweather…I still couldn’t help but wonder does Chilli still have it bad for Usher and waiting for Daddy to come home? ABC’s Darius Brown recently caught up with the superstar where she reminisced about her last love nearly seven years ago with Usher. Call me crazy but it sounds to me like Chilli is still holding out hope that Usher will come to his senses and make a move. Could you imagine if these two were to reunite and finally make it work?! Imagine that…

Looks like Shaunie done pissed Shaq off! Apparently Shaquille O’Neal is giving VH1 two options, cancel her new reality series “Basketball Wives” or get sued. The show premiered last week and word is the second episode is going to be really juicy since its expected to focus on her tumultuous relationship with the NBA player. Shaq’s lawyer Michael J. Klump claims Shaunie is violating their confidentiality agreement if she reveals any private details about Shaq on the show. VH1 has by the close of business today to respond and so far they haven’t. A new episode of “Basketball Wives” is scheduled to air Sunday, April 18th. Guess we’ll just have to wait till then to find out if VH1 gives in to Shaq’s request.

Shaq is just trippin’ ’cause Shaunie might expose his cheating his a$$! I caught the show last Sunday and I must say I will be tuning in again this Sunday. But, something tells me it’s gonna end up being like the Real Housewives of Atlanta. How the hell you gonna name a show “Basketball Wives” and none of these bishes have a ring on their finger!

Not sure what happened to the winner from the first season of “I Want to Work for Diddy”, but VH1 and Diddy have joined forces once again in search of yet another assistant. Last season, Diddy used more of a hands-off approach, but he promises that this season is going to be way different, not to mention it’s going to be filled with a bunch of surprises. In a press release Diddy stated,

“Last season I was hands off and left it to the judges. This season I’m taking a foot in ass, all over your brain approach to finding this assistant”.

Tune in to VH1 on November 2nd at 10 pm to follow Diddy on his quest for the ultimate assistant. But, if you can’t wait that long, catch the sneak peek of the first episode of “I Want to Work for Diddy 2″ on Vh1.com on October 26th.

This year VH1 Hip Hop Honors is switching things up a bit! VH1 has decided to dedicate the entire 6th Annual Hip Hop Honors celebration to Def Jam Records. This year’s celebration is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 13th at 9 p.m. in Brooklyn, NY at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and will be hosted by funny man Tracy Morgan for the third time. Either VH1 just can’t get enough of him or he’s way cheaper than any other comedian! The show will celebrate Def Jam’s 25 years of existence in the music industry featuring pieces on founders Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin.

This is definitely a good look ’cause Def Jam is like the “Hip-Hop Motown” of our day!
