I’ve got some breaking news! The Queen Bee has finally crossed over to the other side, and by the other side I mean Twitter!  The original Queen of Hip-hop tweeted her first message a few hours ago and wasted no time demanding that Twitter bosses verify her ass. Yep, Kim may act like she’s a valley girl, but she’s still a BK chick at heart! The pint-size rapper is already following a few of your favorite celebrities including Diddy, Kim Kardashian and even train wreck Lindsay Lohan to name a few.

Well, you can now follow The Queen Bee on Twitter @LilKimDaGoddess .

I’m surprised the fail whale didn’t pop up, ’cause you know when the Queen comes through…everything shuts down!  But, what took her so long to hop on the Twitter bandwagon?

Here’s video of The Queen Bee chopping it up w/our homie KodakBoi of KidduNot.com, making her official twitter announcement:

FAT JOE SAYS RICK ROSS CAN “NEVER BE BIGGIE”! http://str8nyc.com/2010/06/11/fat-joe-says-rick-ross-can-never-be-biggie/ http://str8nyc.com/2010/06/11/fat-joe-says-rick-ross-can-never-be-biggie/#comments Fri, 11 Jun 2010 11:56:45 +0000 J'More http://str8nyc.com/?p=39687 Tweet

Will all the talk of Teflon Don Rick Ross being compared to the legend Notorious B.I.G., Diddy stirred up more controversy after calling him “The Biggie of the South”. Vibe recently caught up with Fat Joe and asked him how he felt about Diddy dubbing his new client Rick Ross “The Biggie of the South”.

“He said that? I don’t know man. Diddy’s a smart guy and Rick Ross is smart guy, but I don’t think Ross wants to be Biggie. He can’t be Biggie. There’s no replacing Notorious. No disrespect to Ross’s talent though, because I think he’s one of the nicest rappers in the game. But they always compare new artists to the greats. I understand Diddy though, because I knew Biggie very well and I know Ross. They both are kind hearts and they have a similar aura and demeanor about them. They’re similar in that way.”

Seriously, what do Biggie and Rick Ross have in common other than the fact that they’re rappers who are fat and black. I guess I must be blind ’cause I don’t see see what Diddy’s talking about.

STR8 EXCLUSIVE: DIDDY CALLS RICK ROSS “THE BIGGIE OF THE SOUTH”! http://str8nyc.com/2010/06/08/str8-exclusive-diddy-calls-rick-ross-the-biggie-of-the-south/ http://str8nyc.com/2010/06/08/str8-exclusive-diddy-calls-rick-ross-the-biggie-of-the-south/#comments Tue, 08 Jun 2010 21:29:04 +0000 J'More http://str8nyc.com/?p=39556 Tweet

A few hours ago, Str8NYC hopped on a conference call with the “Supreme Team”, Rick Ross, Diddy and DJ Khaled courtesy of Def Jam and BOBO. A few things were revealed on the call, which we’ll get into later. But, we’re gonna touch on Diddy comparing his new client to the late Notorious B.I.G. first. When asked what’s the best quality he sees in Rick Ross as an artist, Diddy responded:

“I think overall his approach to a record, you know what I’m saying? And overall him as an artist. He doesn’t just talk about the regular stuff that you hear a lot of cats talking about now. Everything he talks about is from the soul and is from his heart. And his approach to the record, you know what I’m saying? The way he approaches the record is from a real standpoint, you can tell he’s approaching it from an honest standpoint. You know, I’ve always been wanting to work with artists that have a certain vocal tone and he sounds like a giant–he is a giant. He just has that personality, you know what I’m saying? He’s a very unique artist. He’s bigger than just an artist–he’s a brand! And that’s one of the reasons I wanted to work with him is because I feel we can do bigger and better things. And having worked with Biggie, somebody that also was talking about things in the street. I’m not comparing him to Biggie, before you know we get started going down that road. But, I am saying that there is similarities in the mental approach of a record that I do have a familiarity with. To me, however anybody wants to take it–he’s the Biggie of the South. Hands down!”

WHOA! Realtalk, Biggie and Rick Ross shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence. The only thing they have in common is that they’re both fat and black. Rick Ross may talk about the streets, but his past as CO tells a completely different story.

Be on the look out for more tidbits from the call…

STR8 BEEF: LIL KIM GOES IN ON NICKI MINAJ AGAIN W/ RAY J’S HELP! http://str8nyc.com/2010/06/05/str8-beef-lil-kim-goes-in-on-nicki-minaj-again-w-ray-js-help/ http://str8nyc.com/2010/06/05/str8-beef-lil-kim-goes-in-on-nicki-minaj-again-w-ray-js-help/#comments Sat, 05 Jun 2010 14:51:46 +0000 J'More http://str8nyc.com/?p=39387 Tweet

Earlier this week, we reported that Lil Kim threw a few shots at her imitator aka Nicki Minaj’s way. Well, yesterday while performing in at Webster Hall in NYC, the Queen Bee had a few more words for the Barbie and got a lil’ help from Brandy’s baby brother Ray J. Being the media whore that he is, Ray J hopped on stage and instigated the whole thing calling Nicki out to which Kim responded,

“We love ‘em. We love ‘em. We just want them to pay homage, so we can all ride together that’s all. It’s all about respect. You respect me. I respect you. If you don’t respect me, then fuck you!”

Peep the video…

WOW!

Honestly, when I first saw the video of Kim throwing shots at Nicki I thought it was a dumb move, but this is the perfect time for the Queen Bee to make her return. The rap world was just waiting for the Notorious K.I.M. to launch an attack at the Young Money wannabe and I for one want them to battle it out on a track. Realtalk, for all those talking about Nicki Minaj can flow better than Kim, y’all are obviously on drugs ’cause Kim will eat her silicone injected a$$ for dinner!

Can you believe it’s been 13 years since the Notorious B.I.G. passed away? Today would’ve been the Brooklyn rapper’s 38th birthday and although his memory still lives on– the game hasn’t been the same since his death. B.I.G.’s homeboy Lil Cease recently spoke to MTV News about mending his relationship with Lil Kim and his attempts to bring back Junior Mafia. According to Cease, that’s what Biggie would want.

“If I could give Big a gift for his 38th birthday, it would be to bring the family together, says Cease. “Just to see all the people he had around him in one room together: Me, Kim, D-Roc, Gutter, the whole M.A.F.I.A. Those people, it wasn’t business with us — it was friends. I didn’t write rhymes. I’m sure [Biggie] didn’t put me in the group because I had talent. I wanna make sure you good for the rest of your life. I’mma build you your own lane. You take it from there.’ He did that for me and nine other people in the group.”

After Cease testified in Lil Kim’s perjury case which resulted in her being locked up for 10 months that was the end of their longtime frienship. Well, Cease misses her and insists that he’s been trying to make ammends with the Queen Bee. He says,

Especially for Kim — I reached out for years. Everybody else is kinda in sync: I speak to Roc, Nino, D, [Money] L, everybody else is still kinda connected. The only one I wasn’t connected [with] was Kim. Adding, “I been swallowed my pride. Because as a family, when you know somebody for so long, you go through things. I didn’t think our situation would go this long and this far. We’re still talking to the same people. I guess people are starting to come around now and they are trying to make it happen. I speak to some of her close friends that I’m still close friends with and we working on it. It’s about that time,” he added about mending the divide between him and Kim. It’s something that needs to happen. I don’t want no drama, especially with somebody I came up with. These are the things I think about.”

It’s sad what happened to Junior Mafia, but honestly Cease should just give up on a reconciliation with Kim. Shorty’s on her “valley girl” tip and she’s definitely not losing any sleep over his a$$.

Now that he’s on his way to becoming the next Notorious B.I.G. with the help of Diddy of course, rapper Rick Ross has made a conscious decision to push his album back. Officer Ricky’s Teflon Don was set to drop June 29th the same day Diddy’s  Last Train To Paris drops, but he’s decided to push it back out of respect for his homie. He says,

“It was a real good move. I felt like the June 29th was a little too premature, that was the date my homie Diddy was coming out on anyway. And you know that’s the homie, so I felt like coming in the early July, middle July was best for me from day one. Adding, “But it’s always good anyway man, as long as you’re setting up all your pieces in the right place. You’re setting your radio up, you’re setting your marketing up, the rest of that s**t come in place when you got hits.”

Either officer Ricky knows he’s probably going to sell more albums or he just doesn’t want to ruin his relationship with Diddy. But is pushing his album back really a smart move?!

In other related news, Diddy x DJ Khaled x Rick Ross join forces to create “The Supreme Team”.

Teflon Don drops July 6th!

Hip-hop hasn’t been the same since the Notorious B.I.G. passed away on March 9, 1997. So many questions arise, like what if he were still alive today how different would the game be? B.I.G. made me feel a sense of pride about my hometown, hell he had the world screaming “Where Brooklyn at?”.

BK Stand up!

What are you favorite memorable B.I.G. moments or songs?!

FAITH EVANS EXPLAINS WHY SHE’S BEEN MIA… http://str8nyc.com/2010/02/19/faith-evans-explains-why-shes-been-mia/ http://str8nyc.com/2010/02/19/faith-evans-explains-why-shes-been-mia/#comments Fri, 19 Feb 2010 19:56:33 +0000 J'More http://str8nyc.com/?p=33542 Tweet

Bad Boy Records’ former first lady Faith Evans recently chopped it up with BV Buzz and discussed her latest business ventures, her new album and explained her absence from the music industry.

“It’s been five years,” she told BV Buzz. “I didn’t intend for it to be this long. It’s not like I had a time in mind. Adding, “My career is a big part of my life, but it’s not my life. I got four kids and that in itself alone was the main reason I took time off. I’ve had to take care of home and keep things in order there first before I could even consider doing music again. For me to be able to take the time to do this, I had to plant something with them. I couldn’t give the attention to projects like this and not give them their attention and stay on top of things the way I needed to.”

We totally agree with Faith…family definitely comes first!
