RocNation’s own Bridget Kelly was recorded performing the acoustic version of her single, “Thinking About Forever.” The song was released about a month ago and a leaked demo version by Frank Ocean was also available for listening. The song is written by Mr. Ocean himself, brilliant!

If Childish Gambino was just a rapper, he could have fooled me surely as good as this sounds. Gambino is an actor, writer, comedian, musician and rapper. You can tell by the theatrics in his music and video, spazzing out with more awkward hand gestures than Drake. He reminds me of Nick Cannon plus talent.

Joshua James Caughman aka Charm So! the local Brooklyn artist/producer/visual artist/fashionista and homie of mine has been loading ammo to take this game hostage and give Brooklyn back its voice! That sounds a bit violent, but believe me he is one of the kindest people who aims to shoot the gun of love. POW! In his music you can hear talent, struggle, passion, pain, and a true love for what he does. He has certainly come a long way into his artistry and perfecting his flow, image, and delivery. True artistry encompasses consistency of quality and an impeccable work ethic, and he posses them both aiming to make you feel in the depths of your soul, “like a sample”, as he says.

He was featured in The Source Magazine Unsigned Hype, which is certainly commendable as most of the legends in Hip-Hop were given recognition in there. Where is he now? Well, Charm So! is currently working on his upcoming EP Strawberry Fields which sounds deviously sweet.

STR8 SNITCHIN’: WIZ KHALIFA SHOWS OFF HIS ROSE & SHE’S “WACK & YELLOW”!

Wiz Khalifa is making headlines for his hit single “Black & Yellow“…and thanks to the Stellers win this past Sunday, it’s own its way to being an anthem. Music aside, Wiz Khalifa is also making the rounds on the gossip circuit for bedding Kanye’s former armpiece, Amber Rose. Wiz recently performed at The Rave in Milwaukee and brought his rose right before his set.
Really Rose?!….Wiz Khalifa?!
A hoe will do whatever and whoever to stay on top…no question!
And speaking of groupie hoes and celebrity smuts, check out new DC rapper Xavier Pryce’s newest joint and response track to Wiz’s “Black & Yellow” appropriately entitled “Wack & Yellow“.

In a recent interview with Dr.Jays, Xavier talks how he came up with the song’s concept:
“I kept on hearing news about these chicks and I was wondering why. I didn’t get it. I was wondering what accomplishments these no-talent chicks had other than being able to suck a grapefruit through a straw and look pretty. Then I see these dudes that’s established making themselves look like tricks that are bent on hiring hoes just to convince them they should be wives.

“I heard ‘Black & Yellow’ on the radio and I just started playing around with the words after I had seen some sh*t on TV with Amber Rose telling somebody to open her door like she was worth something. I just fell out laughing and started repeating wack and yellow, wack and yellow. A n*gga like me, as soon as I say something I feel is catchy, I immediately go to the board and record.”

Sounds like Xavier Pryce is str8talk, no promo! Take a good listen and enjoy the shots at Kim Kardashian, Kat Stacks, Kanye West & Soulja Boy. Hahaha!

So while trotting the net, I came across this new group Soundwavve via illroots…and I have to say I was pretty captivated by their sound and couldn’t help but agree…they sound very similar to N.E.R.D. Definitely a new act to look out for.
