Ladies, for those of you who’ve been dying to find out if Trey Songz really “invented sex”, well you’re in luck! The R&B crooner is coming to a city near you, as he plans to hit the road for his “Passion, Pain & Pleasure” tour this summer. The tour–named after his upcoming album, kicks off August 6^th and ends in the city that never sleeps, New York City on September 17^th. The “Panty Dropper” has also enlisted the help of R&B singer Monica who will serve as the opening act.

Yesterday, Georgia peach Keri Hilson sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Atlanta Hawks vs. Los Angeles Lakers game and straight up butchered the sh*t out of it!  Bad enough she didn’t know the words, but could’ve at least made sure her vocals were tight.

Fresh out of house arrest T.I. made his debut at the game and was  joined by fellow ATL natives Monica, Young Jeezy, and Bobby Valentino.

Before pulling PR stunts became the norm, singers Monica and Brandy had it in the bag with their hit duet “The Boy Is Mine”. Remember those pesky rumors about them fighting over R&B crooner Usher? Hmm…wonder if it was all true? Over the years, the two R&B chicks went their separate ways and simply lost touch, but thanks to good ole’ Twitter they’ve reunited and according to Monica it feels so good. She says,

“She found me through Twitter. We lost touch and some of my followers told me that she was looking for me, and it was just a blessing for us to be able to make back up. We are complete opposites, but I think that gives us a chance to really see things from a different perspective on a regular basis. She is a lot calmer than I am and helps me objectively deal with some things. Sometimes I’m able to bring a different perspective on things she may be experiencing. As adults, at 29 and 30 years old, we have a great relationship and a great rapport with one another. We talk about different things inside and outside of the industry.”

How do you lose touch with someone who works in the same industry and hangs out with the same damn people you chill with Monica?  There’s obviously more to this story.

Earlier this week, rumor spread like wildfire that R&B singer Monica’s fiancé and the father of her children Rocko is cheating on her. Word is Rocko’s jumpoff just didn’t know how to play her a role as a sideline hoe so she’s been going around Atlanta yapping about her sexcapades with Monica’s man. But it doesn’t stop there! Shorty had the nerve to call Monica’s phone and harass her–the ultimate disrespect! Well, MediaTakeOut managed to speak with one of Monica’s gal pals who informed them,

“Rocko and Monica have a great deal of respect for each other, but are NO LONGER in a relationship”.

Guess things got a bit too crazy for Monica so she hopped on Twitter to set the record straight and blasted those who believe her breakup with Rocko is all part of PR-Stunt to sell her album which is set to drop this month.

Monica is a strong woman, so she’ll get through this.  As for the jumpoff who disrespected her shorty deserves a real beatdown. This is the very reason why n*ggas need to put their jumpoff’s in check!

Earlier this week, Monica was busy in L.A. shooting the video for her single “Everything To Me” off her new album Still Standing set to drop March 23 (a day before my b-day!). The video is directed by Benny Boom and NFL star Chad Ochocinco plays Monica’s boo. From the looks of it, the video is filled with lots of drama! LOVES IT!

Looks like BET took note from MTV’s successful “Hope For Haiti Now” telethon which helped raise over $58 million– sparking the network to create its own telethon titled “SOS Saving Ourselves—Help for Haiti” to be hosted by Queen Latifah, Diddy and Pharrell Williams. The two hour event will take place at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami and will air on BET,  Centric, MTV and VH1 on Friday, February 5^th at 8 pm ET.

“Words cannot express how I felt watching the catastrophic events unfold in Haiti. I believe it is our duty to come together and help our brothers and sisters in Haiti, especially now, in their greatest hour of need. I have joined forces with Queen Latifah, Pharrell, BET and several of the biggest names in music today to raise funds for the Haiti Relief efforts. Together we can make a difference,” says Diddy.

A string of artists including Ne-Yo, Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, Jazmine Sullivan, Akon, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, Monica, Busta Rhymes, India Arie, Kirk Franklin, Nas and Damian Marley are set to hit the stage for this special event. In addition to musical performances, Mr. “Panty Dropper”  aka Trey Songz, Common, David Banner, Missy Elliott, Chrisette Michelle, Jeremih, The Dream, Jason Derulo, T-Pain, Sean Kingston and more will also make appearances.

“The devastation that has occurred in Haiti has broken my heart. My hope is that we can raise enough money to sustain a few of the relief organizations for quite some time as there is a lot of work to be done over there,” said Pharrell Williams. “The goal is not only to bring immediate relief to Haiti but to also rebuild the country and help the country move forward.”

Proceeds from the event will go to Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti, CARE, Project MediShare and Children’s Safe Drinking Water.
