NYC was filled with celebs last night as they flocked to the many exclusive events that went down in the city that never sleeps. Chris Brown, Fabolous, and supermodel Jessica White attended Swatch’s launch party for their New Gents Collection at the Gansevoort.

While, our fav U.K. chick Estelle made her rounds yesterday along with Trey Songz, Method Man and others who came out to the launch party of Def Jam Rapstar at the Hudson Hotel.

You never know who’s going to show up at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert. The King of New York, Jay-Z brought the King of Pop aka Michael Jackson on stage with him back in 2001. Last year, Method Man, Akon, Jim Jones, Fat Joe, LL Cool J and Ghostface Killah took the stage surprising shocked fans. I highly doubt that this year’s concert is going to be any different ‘cause you never know what to expect at Summer Jam! This year’s line up features the Mary J. Blige, T-Pain, The Dream, Young Jeezy, Jadakiss, Elephant Man, reggae newcomers Mavado and Serani and many more.

Jadakiss recently revealed to MTV that he’s coming out on top at this year’s concert and has a few surprises in store for fans. According to Jada, he’s no longer stuck with opening for other artists, this year he’s going on much later in the show. He says,

“I always try to give one or two surprises. I know they wanna see me. I just dropped a new [album, The Last Kiss], so I gotta keep the surprise guests to a minimum. I might give you Jazmine [Sullivan]. I might give you something nice and soft and something nice and hard. It’s gonna be a good look, though. I feel real good about his one this year.”

This year’s show will be hosted by funnyman Tracy Morgan and will take place at Giants Stadium at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

METHOD MAN BLAMES WEED FOR NOT PAYING HIS BILLS

Thanks to Method Man, people can now use getting high as an excuse for why they forgot to pay their bills! Despite rumors that he’s broke, the rapper claims that he has plenty of bread. According to Meth, his addiction to marijuana is to blame for why his 2008 Lincoln Navigator was repossessed.

It all happened at 6 a.m. on March 19th when the state Department of Taxation showed up at his crib in Staten Island with “four NYPD cops and the repo team”. He tells the NY Daily News, “I knew why they were there. It wasn’t like ‘Oh my God! Noo!! Don’t take it!’ like it is on that TV show [“Operation Repo”]. I was half-dressed, and it was so early that I just said, ‘Okay, you’re taking the truck. … Aight.’” He adds, “Myself, I’m a pothead. It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, [the tax department] sent letters to my house saying, ‘We need this money.’ They started sending them in 2002. Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this s— because I don’t think like that! I could have easily just written them a check for whatever amount, but no — I waited until they knocked on this door and were like, ‘We got your truck and we outta here,’?” he laughed. “Now I’m thinking we’ve gotta get our truck back, which means I have to get all my paperwork together. That means days of going through mail, ’cause I got mail like woah. I’ve found checks from 2005 that have never been opened yet. And we’re talking a significant amount of money! But I never opened [the tax department’s] letters … so this is how the tax man came to Meth’s house and took his truck. Not because I was broke! I got plenty of money!” He closes, “Because I got high, I forgot to pay. It was stupid. I’m an idiot for that”.

Method Man is hilarious, but I’m not buying that he got high and forgot to pay his taxes dating back from 2002!
