Hov wasn’t having anyone else Lil’ MaMa his set anymore…and clearly there’s only room for one hypeman, Memphis Bleek. Pay attention to whats going on behind Jay-Z, as his guard straight tackles a fan off the stage in DC. Wonder if fan will try to sue?

MEMPHIS BLEEK ON BEANIE SIGEL/JAY-Z SITUATION… http://str8nyc.com/2010/02/18/memphis-bleek-on-beanie-sigeljay-z-situation/ http://str8nyc.com/2010/02/18/memphis-bleek-on-beanie-sigeljay-z-situation/#comments Thu, 18 Feb 2010 20:41:23 +0000 LexAve http://str8nyc.com/?p=33752 Tweet

Memphis Bleek recently chopped it up with MTV News on the Memphis Bleek/Jay-Z beef. To sum it up basically:

“Everybody knows that if you come at Hov, you’re not stopping his movement – come on it’s stupid. We’ve been there before.”

Beans really wasted his time coming at Jay…yeah 50 Cent signed him to G-Unit and at the beginning people thought it was about to be on and poppin’ and fast forward months later the results are nothing but crickets. So did Beans succeed at his mission…whatever that was? NO…HE FAILED!

Words to live by: “Opportunity is worth more than any check. I could give you a check today, you could be broke tomorrow. If I give you opportunity, you could be rich tomorrow.”

THOUGHTS?!

Rapper Memphis Bleek has been gone for a minute, but he’s back and this time he isn’t rapping in a hair commercial either! Memphis is back to business with a new album, record label and a distribution deal. The Brooklyn rapper will drop his fifth album titled The Process on November 24th through a distribution deal between his own label Get Low Records and Mass Appeal Entertainment. Memphis enlisted the help of BFF Jay-Z who executive produced the album, as well as production from Just Blaze and No I.D. Guest features include Rick Ross, Pharrell, Jay-Z and a slew of others. He tells AllHipHop,

The Process has been exactly that; a process. Taking what I’ve learned from a teacher and creating my own school. It’s time for me to handle my own business as a man and Mass Appeal supports the vision. I’m ready to share The Process and Get Low Records with the world and along with Mass Appeal, I’m excited to take the next steps in my career independently”.

Glad to hear he’s finally come to his senses and realizes that he can’t eat off of Jay forever. Real talk, Memphis is a grown ass man who needs to make his own damn bread!

MEMPHIS BLEEK: “JAY-Z IS THE KINDEST N*GGA ON EARTH” http://str8nyc.com/2009/03/29/memphis-bleek-jay-z-is-the-kindest-ngga-on-earth/ http://str8nyc.com/2009/03/29/memphis-bleek-jay-z-is-the-kindest-ngga-on-earth/#comments Sun, 29 Mar 2009 18:29:34 +0000 J'More http://str8nyc.com/?p=14004 Tweet

Memphis Bleek has decided to squash rumors about him beefing with Jay-Z after leaving Def Jam Records. According to Bleek, Jay-Z is the “kindest n*gga on earth” and reveals that it was Jay’s idea for him to leave Def Jam so he could work on creating a buzz for his own label, Get Low Records. He says,

“Jay’s the kindest n**ga that walk the face of this earth and everything ain’t money. N**ga gave everybody he knew… opportunity, that’s all you can ask for… I left Def Jam… I had options to put out another album on Def Jam but then I had a meeting with him and he made it real clear to me, ‘Why do that, you got the opportunity right now to run your own company. I’ma get you the distribution deal for Get Low Records, you sign your artists, drop your albums under Get Low and I’ma still executive produce”.

I’ve never heard about Bleek’s label, Get Low Records until now. Hmmm…I wonder why.

LexAve: Remember that Fructis hair commercial Memphis Bleek did a year ago?! LOL…
