Yesterday the Internets were ablaze with comebacks at John Mayer’s comments about not dating black women and personifying his d*ck as a white supremacist and for using the “N” word in an interview with Playboy. He said,

“If you really had a hood pass, you could call it a nigger pass.”

Then when asked if “black women throw themselves at [him]? He responded,

“I don’t think I open myself to it. My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a f*ckin’ David Duke cock. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick.”


Let’s just say people were not happy. Twitter folks were on they’re Kanye tip…CAPS-LOCK ranting and all. Check out some of folks responses on the homie’s Necole Bitchie site.

Shortly after John Mayer tweeted,

Then he took it to the stage, where he broke down.


“In the quest to be clever, I completely forgot about the people that I love and the people that love me…I quit the media game. I’m out. I’m done. I just want to play my guitar.”. He also assured the audience that his band and background singers (which are black) were not on the stage because they condoned what he said, but because they supported his growth as an artist.”


Realtalk John Mayer is a funny dude, very raw and basically what you see is what you get type of person…I highly doubt he’s a racist or the demon people are making him out to be. Yeah, it was wrong for him to use the “n” word but then again why are people using “hood pass”…that’s just as derogatory. John just suffered a brief moment of diarrhea of the mouth. It happens to everyone. When you give a word like the “n” word such power then of course you’ll be offended.

Looks like Kanye’s got a friend in John Mayer or least someone who sympathizes with him. Unlike most people, John realizes that the backlash ‘Ye received after ruining Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards was a bit too much– I agree! He tells Access Hollywood,

“If you just woke up now and you looked at the backlash on Kanye you’d think that he actually firebombed the stage. It’s the MTV Video Music Awards, not the G8 summit. Kanye West got in more trouble than the guy who yelled, ‘You lie!’ to the president. [He] got like a two-day slap on the wrist and Kanye West – his entire career is in escrow because he jumped on stage at the Video Music Awards.”

John has a valid point, it’s like Kanye killed somebody. The media didn’t really make a big deal when Lil PaPa MaMa hopped on stage during Jay-Z and Alicia’s set. Why is that?! For one, that type of behavior should be expected ’cause it’s Kanye. Dude is known for just saying crazy sh*t, from his Bush “Doesn’t like black people” rant to his child-like antics at award shows. Secondly, ‘Ye was spotted drinking a bottle of Hennessey before the show even started…so we can really blame it on the ah-ah ah-ah ah-al-co-hol!

After much waiting and anticipation, all media outlets streamed live footage from Michael Jackson’s public memorial service at Staple Center in Los Angeles. And everything went off without a hitch, except for the bit of lag time due to audio issues…but overall it was an amazing tribute.


Mariah Carey and Trey Lorenz kicked off the heartfelt memorial with their rendition of Jackson 5′s all time classic “I’ll Be There”. MiMi’s vocals weren’t like they used to be. See HERE.


This has got to be my favorite performance and tribute to Michael…props to Stevie Wonder.


John Mayer did his own guitar version of MJ’s “Human Nature”…FIYAH!


A very pregnant Jennifer Hudson belted out to MJ’s “Will You Be There”. Love the carefree look.


Usher couldn’t fight back the tears and emotions as he sang “Gone Too Soon”. Even his estranged wife, Tameka Foster, felt Usher’s performance.

Everyone brought the memorial to a close with Michael’s worldwide hit “Heal The World”.


MJ’s brothers big up their brother.


Michael’s daughter, Paris, had the last and most heartfelt words of the service. I couldn’t fight the tears with this one.

I streamed the full two hour memorial service and all I have to say it was fit for King! Hats off to all those who put this great memorable service together.
