Forget Str8 Talk! This is straight up BLASPHEMY! The homie, The Fury, recently posted a story on Adele and that her ex boyfriend is seeking compensation for inspiring Adele’s previous album “19″. Her response to the creep according to The Sun,
“Finally, I said, ‘Well, you made my life hell, so I lived it and now I deserve it.’ He really thought he’d had some input into the creative process by being a p****. I’ll give him this credit – he made me an adult and put me on the road that I’m travelling.”
WHAT IN THE HELL?! TALK ABOUT FUCKERY TO THE FULLEST! We can all attest to the fact that at some point ex-es have inspired the worst and the best in us all. In this case, Adele’s ex caused her so much pain it inspired all the powerful lyrics and hit songs in both her albums “19″ & “21″. But why the hell should her ex-boyfriend reap any benefits?! The most he should get is a “thank you!” and “kick rocks!”. In my case, my ex (you know who you are) was a huge inspiration in getting this Str8NYC.com blog + movement started and sure things didn’t work out between us. Am I thankful for being one my biggest cheerleaders yeah…but if he ever considered to come after me for money and seeking any type of compensation he better think twice. #imjustsayin

So this leads me to my next point “How much do you owe your ex?”. If this rule in fact applied in relationships…Here are some celebs that owe they’re ex-es a lil’ more than a “thank you”

Say what you want…but with Diddy’s help J.Lo became a household name. From the music to a switch in management (Benny Medina) to naming her “J.Lo”…dating Diddy was a major boost in Jenny from the Block’s career.

Chilli breaking up with Usher gave him his best + top selling album of his career…need I say more.

Sure Amber Rose was Kanye’s arm candy but Kanye was her personal ATM. Without him would be talking about Amber today?…I think not!

It was nearly a month ago that J-Lo’s “outlandish” demands and pay out from American Idol fell through. Now she’s back on. J-Lo snagged a $12 million dollar paycheck for the next season of American Idol. She is be also joined by new judge Aerosmith front man, Steven Tyler. According to People,

Lopez’s $12 million contract, which was first reported by Deadline.com, comes two weeks after DioGuardi confirmed she was leaving the show, following in the footsteps of both Simon Cowell and new judge Ellen DeGeneres.

According to the report, Lopez was hoping for movie and TV development deals to accompany and even larger Idol salary as well as input about her new co-judges, but Fox made no commitments and she settled for a cool $12.

“She’s very excited,” a source close to Lopez says of the final deal.

JENNIFER LOPEZ DISHES ON RELATIONSHIP WITH DIDDY

While you were busy enjoying some good ‘ole holiday fun, you might’ve missed VH1′s Behind the Music: Jennifer Lopez. In this new episode over the weekend, J.Lo dished about her past failed relationships including her ghettofabulous stint with then Sean “Puffy” Combs. Here’s how she described her relationship with the bad boy of rap…claiming he fell for her right away:

“He was like, ‘I love you’. Right away. It was very fast, but we did have a connection. We did fall in love and we were very close. But my relationship with him was always something I knew would end.”

“It started out as something very pure and innocent….but it did get ugly – it did get sordid,” she said.

Not to mention that 1999 club shooting incident which broke the camel’s back and ended it all for the pair. When the fire shots, J.Lo broke out! Word is they had “different views on fidelity” and her sister Lynda Lopez said he ”was not the person in that relationship that he should’ve been and he did not take care of her or treat her the way he should have.’”

Luckily for the bronx bombshell and the bad boy of rap…they parted ways and hip hop’s royalty couple was OVER.

STR8 SNITCHIN’: JENNIFER HUDSON’S MUSIC CAREER ON SUICIDE WATCH?!

Jennifer Hudson may be getting that WeightWatchers money, but she needs to step her game up if she wants to sell any records. The former American Idol hopeful and Oscar winner is back in the studio working on her second album, but word is the songs she recorded aren’t poppin’. A snitch tells the NY Daily News,

“The songs she recorded so far were mostly Euro-dance music suited for Rihanna or Lady GaGa. The producers and songwriters unanimously agreed the music didn’t fit Jennifer and encouraged Larry to send her back into the studio.”

Apparently, producer Rich Harrison’s involvement in the project in the reason to blame. “The consensus was that the songs were not so not J.Hud,” added the snitch.

Meanwhile, J. Hud’s mouthpiece claims,

“We’ve received terrific feedback on the material,” and says she’s only “in the beginning stages” of recording her album.

But, according to another snitch, Jennifer “had to go back into the studio”. And this time “she’ll be adding some soulful, Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight type songs to the CD”.

“Jennifer’s first album managed to go platinum thanks to name recognition and the wave she was riding from ‘Dreamgirls,’ but it didn’t yield any major pop hits. She needs to really get on her game if she wants to continue her career as a recording artist.”

I’m a huge fan of J. Hud and I think she needs to stick with what works best for her. Jacking Lady Gaga and Rihanna is just going to kill her career. Glad they have her going back in the studio to bring back her sound and not that Gaga/Rihanna crap.

JENNIFER LOPEZ CLAIMS SHE LOVED DIDDY…REALLY?!

Boricua Jennifer Lopez has landed herself on the June 2010 cover of Marie Claire UK magazine hitting newsstands June 6th. In the issue, La Lopez dishes on everything from her new movie “Back-Up Plan” to even ex-boo Diddy. She talked about Ben Affleck too, but I didn’t think including him was really important.

“The tabloids covered those times heavily, but when I look back I know those were real parts of my life. That’s what maybe confused people – it seemed like something that was made up and crazy, but there was real genuine feeling in all those relationships.”

When asked if she still keeps in touch with Diddy, she revealed,

“Sean – I’ve run into him once or twice, with Marc, and it’s always very friendly. He asks about the twins because he has twins too. Again, I always wish him the best.”

Jennifer needs to thank Diddy, he created J. Lo– he gave her a$$ swag. They really did make a cute couple, but when sh*t got too hot in ’99 following the club shooting Diddy got caught up in, she dropped him with the quickness and went Hollywood on his a$$. It’s pretty clear Jennifer wasn’t a down ass chick! I always felt like Jennifer used all those other guys including Diddy as her “back-up plan” ’cause she was patiently waiting for Marc Anthony and his former wife to call it quits. Shorty had Diddy singing songs about her, that booty sure had him whipped!

Just when we thought Ciara made her way back to Hollyhood, homegirl regressed and made a trip back to Hollywood. Last night, CiCi hit up Us magazine’s “Hot Hollywood Style” issue event–where she brushed shoulders with some of Hollywood’s finest including Jennifer Lopez, Paris & Nicky Hilton, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Since when did CiCi have all of that up top?! I’m convinced she had some work done. But, whoever did her boobies did an excellent job!

While Ciara was partying it up Hollywood style, former Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon hit up author and hair architect to the stars, Keith Campbell’s “Cuts Of Our Infirmities” book launch party at the Tracy Reese Boutique in NYC.

Blame Jennifer Lopez’ hubby Marc Anthony for sparking her comeback to the music world after a long hiatus. While serenading him at his 40th birthday bash, Jennifer got an epiphany that belting out melodies is what she’s destined to do– something I totally disagree with! She says,

“I sang a song for Marc’s 40th birthday called My Man. It is an old Barbra Streisand song. But when I sang it – she’s so my idol – I thought ‘I can’t believe I’m trying to sing a Barbra Streisand song. This is insane. What are you thinking?’ But I sang it and it was almost like I had graduated. I needed to get to that point. When I sang it, he had tears in his eyes and we were both like, ‘What was that?’ And it just gave me that, that finally I’m a singer. This is what I do. Nobody can ever make me doubt it again. Adding, “With the acting I was a bit nervous at first. But with this, the first day back at rehearsal I was like, ‘This is what I do’. It felt really good. I was really just so happy to be doing it. When I was finishing up my album and the music was feeling right, everything just came together. It’s been nice to be back on stage and doing my thing. It’s like coming back into the ring”.

I prefer Jennifer Lopez the actress…not the singer. Sure, there’s no denying that shorty can act and can bust some ill moves on the dance floor, but when it comes to singing her voice just doesn’t do it for me. Why can’t Jennifer just stick to what she knows how to do best? This is the problem with celebrities they want to do EVERYTHING!
