BEANIE SIGEL F*CKED HIS MONEY UP… http://str8nyc.com/2010/10/07/beanie-sigel-fcked-his-money-up%e2%80%a6/ http://str8nyc.com/2010/10/07/beanie-sigel-fcked-his-money-up%e2%80%a6/#comments Thu, 07 Oct 2010 21:26:49 +0000 Cola Janneti http://str8nyc.com/?p=42311 Tweet

Dissing Jay-Z didn’t work, nor did linking up with 50 Cent ’cause now the tax man is after Beanie Sigel. The Philly rapper is charged with failing to file his taxes and reporting his gross income for three years! According to the Philadelphia’s  District Court, Beanie didn’t pay taxes on $1.5 million from 2003-2005. DAMN!

If convicted, the former Roc Boy could spend three years in the pen. And according to his lawyer, Fortunato Perri Jr. he’s likely to plead guilty.

Whatever happened to hiring an accountant? Looks like Beanie needs to hit the studio quick! Wonder if homie 50 will lend him a couple thousands. Ha!

SAY GOODBYE TO THE BAD GUY, 50 CENT?! http://str8nyc.com/2010/07/23/say-goodbye-to-the-bad-guy-50-cent/ http://str8nyc.com/2010/07/23/say-goodbye-to-the-bad-guy-50-cent/#comments Fri, 23 Jul 2010 18:39:15 +0000 LexAve http://str8nyc.com/?p=40947 Tweet

We’ve come to known him as the king of rap beefs. 50 Cent has had more beefs with other rappers and celebrities than Lil’ Kim’s had face lifts. But with the possibility of him scrapping his next album Black Magic, 50 Cent appears to be certain about one thing…he no longer wants to be bad guy. In a recent interview with Tim Westwood TV, 50 Cent says he doesn’t want to be classed as the ‘bad guy’ when it comes to rap beefs and isn’t going to entertain certain artists with diss tracks.

“I don’t have…issues with people until they say things that make me feel like they want a problem,” said the Queens rapper. “Point to one situation that I’ve been in, one altercation where I was competing with another artist that I’ve started…Ain’t that hip-hop? There’s always been battling. It’s always been a part of the culture. In the future, because I’ve been kind of captured as the actual bad guy on some level because they watch me compete and win and it feels like it was effortless, I will [make] a point to not even respond. I’l just look and watch people when they say things.”

As much as I’d love to believe you Fiddy…you need more people. What are you gonna suddenly switch up your MO and turn “nice guy”…’cause if so, i doubt it’s gonna work! #imjustsayin

50 CENT DROPS 50 POUNDS…WTF?! http://str8nyc.com/2010/05/27/50-cent-drops-50-pounds-for-movie-role-wtf/ http://str8nyc.com/2010/05/27/50-cent-drops-50-pounds-for-movie-role-wtf/#comments Thu, 27 May 2010 15:49:26 +0000 LexAve http://str8nyc.com/?p=38772 Tweet

Yesterday 50 Cent released new shocking photos of himself where he’s 50 pounds lighter from his regular weight of 214 pounds. All this drastic weight loss for his role in the new film “Things Fall Apart.” According to the NYDailynews,

For Mario Van Peebles’ “Thing Fall Apart,” the rapper dropped an astonishing 50 pounds to play a football player who has been diagnosed with cancer.

Normally tipping the scales at 214 pounds, 50 Cent released a photo of himself this week at a frail 160.
The “Strong Enough” singer says he lost the weight by going on a liquid diet and spending three hours a day on the treadmill for nine weeks.

“I was starving,” 50 Cent revealed on his official Web site, thisis50.com. But on the eve of his “The Invitation” tour, the thespian has been gorging.

But don’t fret! Curtis will be back to his sexy bulky self in no time. Aside from dropping all that weight, 50 Cent has also removed his arm tattoos for “Fall Apart” and his other movie project, “Twelve,” which co-stars Chace Crawford.

“It cuts down on the amount of time I have to spend in makeup covering them up,” he told People.com, adding that he will keep his back tattoo.

WOW! Curtis is really taking this acting thing seriously…glad to see he’s tapping into other areas, ’cause the music thing just might’ve run its course. #imjustsayin

LLOYD BANKS TO RICK ROSS: “YOU AIN’T EVEN A TOP 10 RAPPER!” http://str8nyc.com/2009/05/01/lloyd-banks-to-rick-ross-ur-not-even-a-top-10-rapper/ http://str8nyc.com/2009/05/01/lloyd-banks-to-rick-ross-ur-not-even-a-top-10-rapper/#comments Fri, 01 May 2009 16:27:55 +0000 J'More http://str8nyc.com/?p=15807 Tweet

Officer Ricky made a big mistake when he decided to attack Eminem. It’s one thing to get at Fifty and the G-Unit crew, but he took it a bit too far when he added Eminem to the mix. Seriously, Eminem has nothing to do with his beef with Fifty. Lloyd Banks seems to agree and believes that Ricky is out of line. He tells MTV,

“As far as calling out Eminem, you’re not in the top 10 lyricists nowhere. So just sit down, man. We seen what Em can do. Em’s in a whole ‘nother lane. How do you go from praising somebody in one interview to calling him a ‘monkey’ in the next? He’s been in out of pocket too many times. We’ll see where his future goes. It doesn’t look too bright, if you ask me.”

Although the Bawse is floating on cloud 9 because his album is No. 1 in the country, Lloyd doesn’t understand why. He adds,

“First of all, his first week [sales] was 150 thousand and change. That was with two or three months of promotion, beefing with the most popular rapper there is right now outside of Eminem. There is no bigger promotion than that. He reminds me of 12 or 13 year old. You know he’s always lying. He said he spoke to [G-Unit employee] Nelson [allegedly about  offering Ross money to end the beef], and it already was put out there you didn’t speak to him. Then you say, ‘I took the [prison-guard]  because my boss asked’ him to. They didn’t need you to go to the penitentiary to make a buck. C’mon.”

I’m getting tired of these rappers starting beefs just to sell records. Beef as promo is really getting old. Find another way to promote ya sh*t!
