STR8 BEEF: CONSEQUENCE AIRS OUT KANYE & Q-TIP!

Yesterday MTV News posted video footage of Consequence interview with MTV’s Sway where he finally confirms his split from G.O.O.D Music and airing out Kanye & Q-Tip. Apparently the beef stemmed from the fact that Yeezy and The Abstract were set to produce Consequence’s delayed sophomore album Cons TV but that they pulled out and lost interest.

“We definitely have personal issues,” he told MTV News’ Sway Calloway during RapFix Live. “[Q-Tip] and Kanye elected to be executive producers of my Cons TV project. It’s ABG [ed: anybody gets it].”

He stated that though they left him high and dry, he isn’t bitter. “I’m not harping on anything, but I’ma point out the obvious. I committed my time, my energy, my efforts to what we all committed to,” he vented. “That’s the Cons TV project. It’s not to be understated. They rolled with me through everything. They heard the stories on the ‘Job Song.’ They heard ‘Uncle Rahiem.’ They rooted for me. This was the coup de gras.”

As for Cons TV its now been renamed Get Even. Ahead of its release, Cons is set to release his Movies on Demand 3 mixtape, which will further address his situation with his former contemporaries. Surely The Cons will be spittin’ some fire at ‘Ye & Tip…whether or not it’ll result in the recognition he’s been longing for, we’ll have to wait and see.

So yeah I’ve been laying low from the blog scene for a minute. But after hearing Lil’ Kim straight murder Nicki Minaj on “Black Friday“, I got inspired and felt the need to stand up on give Kim a round of applause. A lot of ya youngins are quick to trash talk about Lil’ Kim saying “she old”, “she needs to quit”, “she’s pathetic”, “she’s desperate”. Nope, sorry but this “Black Friday” is very much factual and good. Albeit its no “Ether” but gotta love Kim for keeping relevant. “Brooklyn thorough bitch….never been type to have beef and settle shit.” The Queen Bee spits venom over Pharoahe Monch’s instrumental from “Simon Says“…straight putting the Harajuku Barbie in her place, rapping, “It’ll be a murder scene/ I’m turning Pink Friday to Friday the 13th,” and dubbing her a “Lil’ Kim clone clown.”
“This ain’t a championship fight, I been the greatest/ See the fact is, what you doing, I did it/ Lames tryna clone my style and run wit it/ That’s cool, I was the first one wit it/ You’s a Lil’ Kim wannabe, you just hate to admit it.”
WOW! And it doesn’t stop at Nicki, Kim takes shots at Diddy.
“You and Diddy sorry bunch of swagger jackers/I mothered you hoes/I should claim you in my income taxes…”WOWZERS! Lil’ Kim is definitely poppin’ off on this one and we LOVE IT!

Sidebar: I’m not gonna lie, really wish Lil’ Kim would’ve came out with this a while ago.#imjustsayin Kinda feels a bit late in the game for Lil’ Kim to be coming at Nicki. But like they say, better late than never (I guess). Now that that’s done, I really hope Lil’ Kim steps off Nicki and focuses on her own projects.
This image ought to piss Lil’ Kim off some more… crushing the competition…uh oh wait, is that the Brooklyn Bridge?! Oh boy, here we go!

Don’t even get me started on that Rolling Stone’s cover story calling Nicki Minaj the new queen of Hip Hop. WOW! Imma leave for another day. Stay tuned for a video blog on that note.
As for whether or not Nicki will fire back with her own diss track…highly doubt it.

STR8 BEEF: KID CUDI CALLS WALE A DIVA!

In the October/November issue of Complex magazine, rapper Kid Cudi kept it really funky in his interview when discussing his dislike for D.C. rapper Wale. According to Cudi, he doesn’t have any beef with Wale, but he just doesn’t like dude’s vibe. Check out what he had to say…

Complex: Where did the whole attitude shift towards Wale stem from?

Kid Cudi: I really don’t understand what’s up with this guy, but he’s just somebody I don’t click with anymore. I started making changes in my life and started to realize positive energy around me, and he never really had a good energy. I never felt like he wanted to see me prosper, it was just one of those niggas that was envious rather than happy for a nigga. I could be reading it wrong, but I’m not making beef and rearranging my life. It’s pretty obvious he feels some type of way about it. I’m not into peer mediation and working things out, I’m just trying to provide for my daughter and my family and making music for my fans. I vibe with certain people and some people I don’t.

Complex: Last September you shot a page for GQ’s Man of the Year issue with him and Drake; was everything cool then?

Kid Cudi: The whole time me and him and Drake were doing the GQ shoot,Wale was bitching and being aggravated that clothes weren’t in his size, just really not cooperating and being difficult, and just being a diva. The photographer was like, “Wale, c’mon, smile a bit” and he was like, “Man, I don’t smile, let these other guys smile.” I was like, what kind of shit is that? In my head I’m thinking “man, this is GQ. If these niggas want you to smile, smile. We just got picked for “Men of the Year” that shit is awesome. It’s wack to be on that shit when you’re at a photoshoot, he shouldn’t be getting all riled up. There was tension throughout the whole shoot. Me and Drake have a rapport, we’re cool. We were automatically hitting it off, and kicking it, and just Wale was not trying to be in the situation. He was trying to be too cool. He was acting like he’s too good for the situation, and that’s how he always is. He always acts like he’s bigger than what he is, and I don’t fuck with that at all.

And Kid Cudi isn’t lying…’cause according to a few snitches Wale can be an asshole!

KERI HILSON WANTS TO BEAT CIARA’S A$$?!

Seems like Ciara and Keri Hilson are really going to be throwing blows! The Georgia peaches are dropping their albums on the same exact day. Yep, Ciara’s long awaited Basic Instinct and Keri’s No Boys Allowed albums are set to drop November 30th. So, who do you think is going to come out on top? I’m putting all my money on Keri, I’m pretty sure she’s going to whoop Ciara’s Hollywood ass! Anwyhoo, in an interview with the Boombox, Ciara finally addressed the rumors of an alleged beef with Miss Keri Baaaby. She says,

“In reference to the Keri situation, I’m so in a different space mentally I can’t even bring myself to do that. It’s not [important] to me. There’s just so much stuff to get out of life than that. There’s so much more for me to accomplish in my career. Personally, I’ve decided that it doesn’t make sense to do that.”

So, is CiCi saying that Keri isn’t even worth her time? Sure sounds like it!

I’m convinced Ciara lied in that interview ’cause who was she talking to in “Basic Instinct (U Got Me)” when she said,

“See I was out buying Chanel bags/While I was doing that you turned up your swag, u got me/Yup, call me slippin forget your hustle on, shottie I ain’t trippin/I been in the game since ’03/You can try but you still can do it like me”

My point exactly!

Ciara and Keri Hilson are not letting this one die. The RnB divas continue to take subtle jabs at each other via song lyrics and now apparently the RnB chicks had a full blown fight backstage at Power 105.1 concert this past weekend…’causing Keri Hilson to walk out the concert and not perform. Word is the ladies exchanged some major insults backstage and a fuming Keri stormed off. According to NYDailyNews,

Insiders initially told us that the two R&B/hip-hop artists, who’ve had a long-brewing feud through their songs, had a verbal catfight backstage that kept Hilson from performing.

The sources, however, suddenly changed their stories after the singers’ publicists got involved. The reps’ stories, which are both slightly different, contend that Hilson was not even at the event.

Both women were supposed to perform at the show. A schedule sent to us by the publicity firm handling the event indicates that Hilson was supposed to go on from 8:55 to 9:15 p.m. Ciara was slotted for the more prestigious 10:05 to 10:35.

Seriously, why are these chicks beefing in the first place?! Let me guess…they fighting it out for the queen of ATL or some dumb mess like that. C’mon these RnB divas need to let it go. Ciara needs to channel that energy in her moves and putting out some smash records…’cause Keri Hilson is major competition.

SAY GOODBYE TO THE BAD GUY, 50 CENT?!

We’ve come to known him as the king of rap beefs. 50 Cent has had more beefs with other rappers and celebrities than Lil’ Kim’s had face lifts. But with the possibility of him scrapping his next album Black Magic, 50 Cent appears to be certain about one thing…he no longer wants to be bad guy. In a recent interview with Tim Westwood TV, 50 Cent says he doesn’t want to be classed as the ‘bad guy’ when it comes to rap beefs and isn’t going to entertain certain artists with diss tracks.

“I don’t have…issues with people until they say things that make me feel like they want a problem,” said the Queens rapper. “Point to one situation that I’ve been in, one altercation where I was competing with another artist that I’ve started…Ain’t that hip-hop? There’s always been battling. It’s always been a part of the culture. In the future, because I’ve been kind of captured as the actual bad guy on some level because they watch me compete and win and it feels like it was effortless, I will [make] a point to not even respond. I’l just look and watch people when they say things.”

As much as I’d love to believe you Fiddy…you need more people. What are you gonna suddenly switch up your MO and turn “nice guy”…’cause if so, i doubt it’s gonna work! #imjustsayin

STR8 SNITCHIN’: MAXWELL BEEFIN’ WITH JILL SCOTT & ERYKAH BADU?!

Looks like there’s some beefin’ going on the in RnB world, specifically between my all time favorite RnB crooner Maxwell and RnB divas Jill Scott & Erykah Badu. According to the homie Freddyo,

Maxwell has cancelled the rest of his shows because he was not getting along with Jill Scott and Erykah Badu. He apparently was pissed because the ladies consistently go over on their time, each show, when their finish mark is actually 8:30. This limits the time Maxwell can woo the ladies and the amount of panties Maxwell can receive on stage that night. At the last concert, Maxwell snatched a pair of thongs from the stage, and inhaled deeply. He said, “ladies I want to smell it, I want to smell it…” If he doesn’t have the time to smell his thongs, there will be beef backstage. All of Maxwell’s concerts after the NYC show on June 26th have been postponed or canceled.

WHAT?! This sounds like some real diva ishh… I dunno folks but something tells me Maxwell is too just humble to wild out on petty things such as this. This doesn’t sound like a good enough reason to scrap all other tour dates. In addition to this rumored beef, Singersroom reports Maxwell is also considering taking another break. Wait, WHAT?! WHY?! Maxwell just returned to the scene and brought real music back. Why go on another hiatus?

“I don’t know. I like the spotlights and all that, but then I do love the corner store, getting milk, throwing out the garbage, having just a regularness around life,” Maxwell said when asked whether putting out an album or two and taking an extended break is going to become a pattern. “So we’ll see.”

Realtalk I dunno if I could take Maxwell taking another hiatus…we’ve waited too long for his return and now he’s gonna bail on us again? C’mon Maxwell!

Lil’ Kim took to Kendra G’s radio show to talk about how Nicki Minaj jacked her style.

“When I came out to do this promo tour, it was a reminder to let everybody know where it came from. If you’re gonna swagger jack somebody and take their style at least pay them respect and homage. Don’t try to act like you created this and acted like you’re not a fan and disrespect me in interviews. C’mon man! “

Glad to see Lil’ Kim isn’t holding her tongue…but being that she’s got some new material in the works and ready to put out a new single in July- we can’t help but wonder is this all a publicity stunt? Some staged cat fight?!

Nicki Minaj and Drake performed “BedRock” at Hot 93.7′s Hot Jam in Hartford, CT recently. Shortly after Drake’s set, he took a moment to praise Nicki on her “greatness” while simultaneously shut Lil’ Kim and all femecees down!

“Can I say something in front of Hartford?…I just want to say that you are the baddest woman to EVER do this rap shit…I don’t give a fuck what Lil’ Kim and nobody else is talking about. You are the baddest the chick to ever do this shit!”

WOW! These youngn’s really need lay off that hype juice. Nicki Minaj is just a recycled version of Lil’ Kim…PERIOD! Drake is not one to talk…NO WAY! These fools need to pay respect to a veteran…put them in their place. RESPECT! People really need stop comparing their images and focus on the rhymes…who brings the heat and who does not?!

Earlier this week, we reported that Lil Kim threw a few shots at her imitator aka Nicki Minaj’s way. Well, yesterday while performing in at Webster Hall in NYC, the Queen Bee had a few more words for the Barbie and got a lil’ help from Brandy’s baby brother Ray J. Being the media whore that he is, Ray J hopped on stage and instigated the whole thing calling Nicki out to which Kim responded,

“We love ‘em. We love ‘em. We just want them to pay homage, so we can all ride together that’s all. It’s all about respect. You respect me. I respect you. If you don’t respect me, then fuck you!”

Honestly, when I first saw the video of Kim throwing shots at Nicki I thought it was a dumb move, but this is the perfect time for the Queen Bee to make her return. The rap world was just waiting for the Notorious K.I.M. to launch an attack at the Young Money wannabe and I for one want them to battle it out on a track. Realtalk, for all those talking about Nicki Minaj can flow better than Kim, y’all are obviously on drugs ’cause Kim will eat her silicone injected a$$ for dinner!
