Last night Amerie continued promoting her Def Jam debut album In Love & War by performing her lead single “Heard Them All” on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I gotta this single is fiyah…but when will Lil’ Wayne ever join her on a set? He didn’t make the video shoot and still a no show at any of her shows, c’mon Weezy help out Amerie. Word is In Love & War debuted at No. 46 on the Billboard 200 with around 12,500 copies sold. I’m hearing this is probably the best R&B album of the year…but the sales are proving it thanks to the weak promotion. Damn Def Jam…here we go again with another set of label issues!

I love me some Amerie but damn, Def Jam couldn’t get any newcomers i.e. Drake or Kid Cudi or a top charting producer like Swizz Beats or Rodney Jerkins. Dammit I blame Def Jam! As much as I want Amerie to blow up, her team really needs to get it together.

I’m loving Amerie’s comeback, but to compete in a Beyonce/Rihanna world she just needs to come harder. Don’t understand what the video concept has to do with the song. I mean it just seems like a continuation of “We Run This Town”, right?! And where the hell is Weezy?!

Not sure if this is official album cover to Amerie’s In Love & War but its hot! But apparently she’s giving her fans a taste of what’s to come with an album sampler posted on her site, check it out HERE. Also be sure to check out some behind the scenes footage of her making the video to “Heard ‘Em All”. Though the song features Lil’ Wayne, apparently he’s not in the video…stay tuned for the official premiere of “Heard ‘Em All” coming soon…


Word is the video is directed by Anthony Mandler, he did “Run This Town”…so expect some of type dark, apocalyptic cinematography.

So while cleaning out my inbox, I came across this new Amerie track ft. P*ssy Monster aka Lil’ Wayne on “Heard Them All” remix. This beat and melody screams Beyonce! Not a bad look for long overdue comeback of Amerie. I’m hearing this will be the official first single off her In Love & War in the US and not “Why R U“…YES! That “Why R U” joint is cute and all but not first comeback single material…this “Heard Them All” brings that heat! Now all she needs is a song with Drake and she’s golden, lol.

So I came across a video of Amerie doing her modeling bit for Giant Magazine. And couldn’t help but notice just how thin Amerie’s gotten. Granted the girl’s never been a thicky thick chick, but remember that “One Thing” video where her legs were defined and toned. Now she’s looking model thin…something like Cassie. In fact, the more I play the video below the more I see Cassie. Yet somehow Amerie stands in her own lane…could it be the fact she’s got talent and has a personality unlike Cassie. Either way who’s more a stunner Amerie or Cassie?!
