It’s nice to see Angie has lost the baby fat for BET. Looks like the new trend is for radio djs to get TV shows deals i.e. Wendy Williams, Miss Jones (TBD), and now Angie…now that’s major!
BET special airing Monday at 11:30pm featuring Jay-Z, LL Cool J & Marc Anthony, I remember LowKey twitted about this…
Fabolous held an “All Black” affair to celebrate his bday last night at club Centurion in NYC last night. Some of his celeb and industry friends rolled through including Officer Ross to provide extra security, former 106 & Park VJ Julissa Bermudez, Valeisha Butterfield, and Melyssa Ford, Dawn Richard and many others…
Why does Melyssa insist on dressing in cheap Fredericks attire? Trashy?!
Kanye recently said that Rihanna was the best thing to happen to Beyoncé, in terms of motivating her to step it up with her music, but the “Single Ladies” singer isn’t feeding into it.
“I love Kanye,” she told radio DJs Ed Lover and Free on Power 105.1 FM. “It’s all from a good place.”
Sasha Fierce goes on to confess,
“I love Rihanna, I think she’s fantastic and she’s done an incredible job. I love all her records.”
And as for fellow pop mate, Justin Timberlake, who appeared in the hilarious SNL “Single Ladies” parody skit, Beyonce says,
“I still can’t believe he did that!” she laughs of JT donning a leotard and heels to dance in the spoof. “He was incredible. By the way, we rehearsed it two times and he picked up the choreogpraphy,” she reveals. “I know he was joking, but it was amazing, he has this photographic memory. The crazy thing is he could probably kill it if he wanted to. He’s so talented and naturally funny.”
While we wait to see Justin and Sasha Fierce hit the stage together, check out these images of Bey at last night’s Gotham Magazine Annual Gala in NYC.
Angie Stone is the latest celeb to pen a book. The soul star, who’s been a major part of Hip Hop and R&B for the past 30 years is dishing the dirt in her new book, Life In The Shadows of A Sex Symbol where she writes about her moments with Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey and others. But, the one thing that’s going to have her book flying off shelves is her candid confessions about Beyonce and Jay-Z’s secret romance. Angie was Beyonce’s confidante during the time B and Jay started dating. She tells Sister 2 Sister magazine,
“I was right there in the beginning when Beyonce started dating Jay-Z, and I was a friend and confidante to her during those times”.
If Angie was or is really Beyonce’s friend she wouldn’t be trying to cash in by putting out her business in a damn book! As B’s confidante everything she told Angie was supposed to be confidential and not to appear in the pages of her memoir! Is she wrong for this?!
Thats how bad Jim Jones musical was…I completely forgot to post it the day after. It was all just a bad memory. Great marketing concept but poorly executed. As far as theatrical standards, this wont make the cut! It had its funny moments that popped but overall it was a cringing 80 minutes.
The off-broadway musical “Hip-Hop Monologues: Inside the Life & Mind of Jim Jones,” was basically a theatrical listening party for Jones’ upcoming album, Pray IV Reign. Half the time I was utterly confused trying to follow the story line while bopping my head to the beats. The majority of the singing was handled by Skull Gang’s Starr, while MTV ‘Real World: Syndey’ alum Parisa Montozaran played a reporter from E! Harlemworld Stories (lol!), and Dr. Benjamin Chavis killed his role as a compasionate Judge. But before I go on tearing the musical apart, I can’t stress the brilliance behind the concept…I mean seriously who else in hip hop turned a listening party into a musical?! Ummm…no one! Groundbreaking…I say YES! As for the album, Pray IV Reign, the songs were a mix of hood joints like “Frenemies” to party joints “Pop Champagne“. I left the theater wondering who is “Frenemies” about…Cam’ron maybe? Anywhoo, check out some pics I snapped trying to bypass the mob scene.
T-Pain talks about his “I Am Music” tour coming December 18th with Lil’ Wayne, Gym Class Heroes, & Keyhia Cole. His son’s name is Music?! Really?!…but Wayne was first to get it tattooed.
“Who do you think pulls off using the vocoder best besides you? Chris Brown, definitely, best at it”
Check out T-Pain straight diss “Mr. Pop Champagne” aka Ron Brownz after the cut… Read more…
The Foxx snagged the cover of this month’s Men’s Fitness. Is it me or has Jamie gotten a little Nip/Tuck??
If he was really fit, why didn’t he do the covershoot sans the wifebeater…show them abs!
Read just how determined Foxx was about getting into character for his movie The Soloist,
“I spent hours getting the nuances of the person, making him real. Something angelic happens and you actually become that person. For Nathaniel, I pushed things a bit. I lost about 20 pounds and I put a gap in my teeth. I had one (of my teeth) chipped out with a chisel. My teeth are just so big and white - a homeless person would never have them. I wanted to break up my big, shining piano keys to five them a little character. Some might think I f*cked up my grill for nothing, but I just wanted to come up with some s— to make the part unique.”
Guess its totally worth when you’re making millions for a role!
