STR8 VIDEOS: KELLY ROWLAND ft. LIL’WAYNE- “MOTIVATION”

Yesterday Kelly Rowland made the rounds to premiere her new ultra sexy video featuring Young Money honcho Lil’ Wayne…entitled “Motivation“. The Sarah Chatfield directed video provides amazing sensual imagery along w/on point choreography. And as much as the video is visually titillating, somehow Kelly Rowland appears to be holding back in both choreography and overall presence. Kelly Rowland has the ability to make love to the camera and despite the slow sexy moves…something is just missing here. Yes, Kelly is beautiful and has an amazing body and good voice…but her sex appeal just doesn’t transcend well in this video. SOMETHING IS MISSING AND I CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHAT. Maybe she just doesn’t have that “IT” factor like Beyonce & Rihanna.


As much as I’m rooting for Kelly to win, she’s just gonna have to come harder. A better song, better hook…Kelly just needs that ONE song to make it pop and it’ll be over. Sorry to say but adding Lil’ Wayne to the track didn’t do much, but just attract more eyeballs…this is definitely NOT a hit! C’mon Kelly I know you can do it…you have all the ingredients, you just gotta mix right. Let’s go and make it KELLY’s year! Either I have hope that the next single Kelly drops will get it poppin’! Looking forward to new third solo album.

  • Damn I like the song, video is sexy but Kelly is just missing that something… Thats why she will always be Beyonce’s background singer… smh she just semi pops. like if i was was watching her in a Porn i’d just be semi hard… Not quite there…
