@poeticandfreaky thanks for the comment, but you totally missed the point of the panel, the article, and this post. it’s not about “complaining about the bad apples and embracing the good ones that are left”..but rather trying to understand why more black and latino men can’t better themselves to partner up with a woman of value, integrity, strength and intelligence. It’s about “going to a white man”…but just addressing the problem and a call to action for the black and latin community. There is a problem with our black and latino men, and you can’t deny that. #imjustsayin

i feel like panels like this force women to stray from the love of a black or latin man,
give up on ur own to go to a white man, well more power to you women who keep on complaining about the bad apples instead of embracing the good ones that are left.

Totally agree with your assessments. As I get older I am finding myself looking for more stability and sadly not looking within my own culture. There are differences with relating to my background, but overall I find everything else is th…e same as dating “my own kind”. Main difference is, a non-Spanish or black male meets my expectations of what I want out of the future. Folks may disagree with me, and I know there may be good Spanish or black men out there, but I haven’t found one yet, and I’m not wasting time.
