RIHANNA WISHES SHE WAS FROM NEW YORK!…DOESN’T EVERYONE?!

MTV caught up with “Rated R” Rihanna on the set of her new music video “Hard” and tickled her brain. RiRi revealed that Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ epic duet “Empire State of Mind” is by far one of her favorite songs of 2009– so much so that every time she hears it she wishes she was from New York! The Bajan beauty also went on to talk about her admiration for Lady GaGa’s originality.

” ‘Empire State of Mind’ was definitely one of my favorite records of 2009 … one of the biggest records of 2009, also. It’s timeless. It’s epic, and it makes me want to be from New York every time I hear it. I’m like, ‘Wow, I wish I was in New York, or I wish I was from New York.’ It’s just that great feeling when you hear it.”

I can definitely say that every time I hear “Empire State of Mind” I’m proud to be from the Empire State that’s…New York!
