Apparently, Rihanna and her dad Ronald Fenty don’t have the best father/daughter relationship. Although, the Bajan beauty gave him a shout out on the sleeve of her new album, she doesn’t plan to speak to him anytime soon. Meanwhile, Rihanna claims she hasn’t heard from her father, despite the fact he insists he’s been trying to get in contact with her. Not to mention, Mr. Fenty was very vocal about Chris Brown putting his hands on his daughter earlier this year. She says,

“He has too much pride (to get in contact). It’s almost like we play opposite roles – I’m the adult and he’s the stubborn teenage boy. Adding, “Luckily my mom raised me with enough qualities to take on something like that. She is the least judgmental person. My whole life she has always been there guiding me but she was never too hands-on. She was just there by my side making sure I didn’t make the wrong decision.”

Earlier today Rihanna stopped by Ryan Seacrest’ radio show and addressed the rumors that her father’s been trying to reconcile with her. She said,

“That sounds very strange to me, since I’ve been the one trying to reconcile with him forever. I haven’t heard from my father in over a year. I try, though. I’ve reached out to him. Adding, “He did something that was really upsetting. He turned his back on me and went to the media and got paid to talk about stuff, like all these interviews after the situation in February. I hadn’t spoken to him, and he was speaking as though we did.”

Aside from her family drama, Rihanna’s been keeping busy promoting her new album Rated R and is already shooting her new video for her next single “Hard”. Don’t expect RiRi to hop back into the dating game ’cause she’s too busy.
