Last night ya gurl saw 50 Cent and his G-Unit crew at the 50th Myspace Music Release Show at the Highline Ballroom in NYC. Upon arriving at the Highline, you couldn’t help but notice the yellow police tape and cop cars surrounding the venue…just in case anything popped off.
The crowd was a mix of youngn’s & goons. Luckily ya gurl kept it VIP status and while the goons took over the lower level. After about an hour or so of mingling and drinking courtesy of Nigel D, Hot 97′s Cipha Sounds introduced the man of the hour…50 Cent. Fif got the crowd extra hyped with his hits “I Get Money”, “Crack A Bottle” “What up Gangsta”.
Within 30 minutes of his set, Fif brings out Beanie Sigel and the crowd went BANANAS! Beans shut it down with his verses on “Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up)” and then the crowd loses it when Beans & Fif do their song “I Go Off”. And after Jay-Z’s AMA jab “Men lie, Women lie, Numbers Don’t”, I was highly surprised 50 Cent & Beans didn’t go IN on Hov last night. Sure bringing out Beans to do his Rocafella verses and Fif throwing up the Roc sign ensued an “OHHHHH…” from the crowd. But I was hoping for something more…more blatant, more disrespectful. Hmmm…Is Fif losing his edge? What prompted the fallback?
Fifty also let Lloyd Banks take the stage for a hot minute, guess Lloyd got an album coming soon or something.
Anywhoo…overall the show was live as hell! Did I mention the groupies were on high alert last night?! Chicks were all just dying to have a baby by Fif! Straight Hawks!
I’m sure the barricades and yellow tape would have been there whether 50 was there or not. It’s called crowd control. Y’all talking like 50 Cent is Tony Montana or somebody. What has 50 done but get shot and talk sh**. Not exactly Public Enemy #1.

Oh please…you never see yellow tape or a street full of cars to a Jay-Z or John Mayer show. It’s no question Fif brings the hood out.
