DRAKE SAYS RIHANNA IS JUST A “GOOD FRIEND”….

Last night, both Rihanna and Drake hit up the American Music Awards…but not exactly together. During the summer, rumor spread like wildfire that Rihanna replaced Chris Brown with the actor-turned-rapper. Well, E! managed to catch up with Drake at the AMA’s and asked him what everybody’s been dying to know–what’s really going on with him and RiRi?! According to Drake, Rihanna’s just a “good friend”. Yeah, okay! He then spoke about the collaborations fans can expect on his highly anticipated debut album Thank Me Later, however he didn’t mention Rihanna.

“I’d love to do something with her,” he said, laughing. “If we find the right thing, for sure.”

While backstage at the AMAs, E! managed to get the scoop from a close friend of Drake who also confirmed that their relationship is strictly plantonic.

“They are just friends. They hang out a lot, but it stops at being friends.”

Drake’s pal also revealed that he was a good distraction for Rihanna after her beatdown incident with Chris Brown, but insists that the rumors about the two are completely false.

“He was definitely there for her.”  Adding, “It was just a silly rumor.”

I don’t know about this one. It’s like deja vu ’cause I specifically remember Rihanna using that same line when she was trying to keep things between her and Chris on the DL.
