OMARION TALKS NEW ALBUM + CLEARS UP BEING DROPPED…
TweetBack in June, former B2K frontman Omarion hopped on Lil Wayne’s Young Money bandwagon, but later hopped off. Soon word hit the net that he was dropped from the label which led to speculations about his involvement in a leaked track being the cause. And it appears that life after Young Money isn’t so bad after all, as the singer recently signed a new deal with EMI to create his own label StarWorld Entertainment. Omarion also plans to drop his third solo effort Ollusion on November 24th which features collaborations from Tank, Fabolous and Gucci Mane on the first single “I Get It In” set to drop October 5th. In a statement issued to MTV, he says,
“My style has evolved so much on this album. I was able to express truly who I am from a creative and artistic standpoint, which allowed me to share a personal side of myself with my fans through my music. This is my masterpiece, and I can’t wait for the world to hear my new album.”

In an attempt to clear up the rumor that he was dropped from Young Money’s roster, Omarion insists that he actually asked to be let go so that he could pursue other opportunities. He says,
“I have a lot of respect and admiration for the genius of Lil Wayne and the entire Young Money family,” he said in a statement. “I asked to be released from the label to pursue other opportunities that were recently presented to me. Because of our relationship, Lil Wayne had no issue with us ending our business relationship and released me from the label.”
