Missy Elliott has been gone for a minute, but don’t worry she’s planning on making a comeback this fall with her upcoming album Block Party which features a couple collaborations including one with the p*ssy monster aka Lil Wayne. In a recent interview with Elle magazine, Missy revealed to the publication how she keeps things fresh and also bigged Lil Wayne up by acknowledging his work ethic.
She says,
It’s a process every time. One thing I like to do is bring dancers into the studio who have been dancing with me for years, and see how they move. They might be like, “Eh, this isn’t the one,” or sometimes they just get to dancing. I also like to go on YouTube to see the underground sounds, what the kids are listening to, and kind of gauge my music around that.

Missy made it clear that she couldn’t really reveal any details about the album, but managed to express her admiration for Lil Wayne’s work ethic. She says,
“There are a lot of great collaborations on the record, but I can only give one away right now, and that’s Lil Wayne. He’s a person who I think is really deserving of the success he’s had. I’m someone who can stay in the studio 24-7, and I’ve watched him stay in there just as long. He has a creativeness about him that I love.”
