Last night Def Jam Records and Desert Storm presented a private screening and album listening event for Fabolous’ 5th studio album Loso’s Way, dropping July 28th. Aside from the so-so singles getting played on the radio, Loso has some hits ready to drop- some of which include the next single “Everywhere, Everyday” featuring Keri Hilson & Ryan Leslie; “Salute” featuring Lil’ Wayne; “Stay” a song about deadbeat fathers (very heartfelt). All that “Throw it in the Bag” mess is just trash compared to the other heavy hits on the LP. Perhaps Loso still has a chance at putting NYC back on the map.
As for the private event, Def Jam could’ve came harder with it. Wine & cheese just didn’t suffice for the sausage fest at the theater. Not to mention the tiny, unventilated venue, was just enough to put me off! And for the movie “Loso’s Way”…well let’s just say it came off more like a webisode (props to Harry).
