After a two year break, singer/songwriter Amerie is back with a vengeance and is ready to give these R&B b*tches a run for their money! Having her career rescued by Def Jam, Amerie will unveil her fourth album In Love & War in August under her new label home. The lead single “Why R U” will hit the airwaves on June 15th, while the video directed by Ray Kay (The Dream’s “Shawty is a 10″ and Lady GaGa’s “Poker Face”) will premiere exclusively on BET on June 8th. For this album, Amerie enlisted the help of the industry’s finest including Teddy Riley, Sean Garrett, Eric Hudson, Jim Jonsin, Rico Love, Brian M. Cox, and The Buchanan’s who worked on “Why R U”.

Hopefully everything works out for Amerie ’cause she’s been jumping from one label to the next since she hit the scene!
