Last night ya gurl stopped by SOB’s for a star studded showcase hosted by John Legend to introduce his new artist from his label HomeSchool Records, Vaughn Anthony. Vaughn also happens to be his lil’ brother. Also in the building were Estelle, Ryan Leslie, and Rick Ross. Stay Tuned for a detailed recap…
The crowd went bananas when Officer Ricky hit the stage to perform “Magnificent” alongside John Legend. The duo rocked the stage but it wasn’t until Ross’ second verse that something went wrong. It seems Officer Ricky was either high as hell or shaken by 50’s wrath that he forget the lyrics to the second verse. He began mumbling and struggled to find words that rhymed with “Ross”…”Floss”…”Bawse” WOW! Major Fail! Luckily, John Legend saved the performance by finishing it off with his soulful melody. Ricky then thanked the crowd and offered a toast to Legend, followed by him running off the stage. I almost dropped my camera in awe of what just went down…WHAT THE HELL?!
Prior to Rick Ross’ Lupe Fiasco’n his set”Magnificent“, John Legend brought out UK’s finest Estelle to perform “Come Over“. John Legend filled in for Sean Paul, killed it and entertained the audience with a lil’ grindin’ on Estelle. Too cute…
