BEYONCE & LIL WAYNE FANS ARE STUPID?!


Apparently listening to Beyonce and Lil Wayne’s music makes you dumb!  According to a recent study, “Music That Makes You Dumb” which compared students SAT results with their favorite music, Beyonce and Lil Wayne fans scored a lower average in their SAT tests, while classical music fans scored higher than anyone else. Virgil Griffin, the creator of the study said:

“I’ve listened to artists and afterwards thought to myself, ‘Wow… loving this rubbish says a lot about someone and how much they’ve got going on in their head.’ “Could one’s musical tastes say something about intelligence? How about SAT scores? Well, like any good scientist, I decided to see how well my personal experience matches reality.”

I took a look at this list and realized that all of the urban genres were at the bottom of the list. So, I guess I’m dumb too! LOL

  • Fans are dumb when they believe Beyonce wrote any hit song.
    but its true we would be all dumb because we listen to this songs on the radio. its an irrelevant study.

  • This study is stupid, and I can’t believe how many blogs of worth are jumping on the bandwagon with this garbage. If you read what the researcher did, you would see that it even sounds ridiculous. Any researcher worth his/her salt knows that Correlation =/= causation. That’s all I’ll say, b/c this f*ckery is just out of hand.

  • It just sounds like another attempt to dumb down urban culture. Don’t believe every statistic and study that you read. It just another attempt to make blacks/people of color seem inferior.

  • As a black man living in NYC, I know this study isn’t necessary to show the fact that we are inferior to other races. The only hang up is that we are causing ourselves to be inferior as a race. We shouldn’t be letting our children listen to mindless bullshit like this. Give them something with a message other than how to do drugs, blow through, money and fuck hoes! Then we will be taking a step in the right direction.
