Kanye West was scheduled to perform at the 2007 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, however due to the death of his mother, Donda West he has decided not to perform. The show also features a performance by the Spice Girls and is being taped at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday and will air on Dec.4 on CBS. As for the doctor who performed surgery on Ye’s mom, the Discovery Health Network has given the show Plastic Surgery: Before and After hosted by him the ax.

As expected Jay-Z’s American Gangster album is his tenth No.1 album tying him with Elvis Presley for the second highest number of No. 1 albums. Jay’s American Gangster album tops this week’s Billboard 200 album sales chart while selling 425,861 records in its first week. These numbers are much lower than the first week sales of Jay’s Kingdom Come album which dropped last year. I would say that Jay did good especially since he put out an album so quick, however he didn’t have the years biggest hip-hop opening week. But, when you’re respected like Jay who cares about having the biggest hip-hop opening week!

Nelly has partnered with NBA star Larry Hughes and have purchased over 60 acres of farmland in St. Louis to open a mulitimillion-dollar facility. Nelly’s company Nelly Inc. is currently in talks with the city of St. Louis to open this facility in the Maryland Heights area, which is currently being redeveloped. We need to hear more about rappers who are doing positive things instead of hearing about their arrests and court dates. I commend Nelly for wanting to give back.
