Looks like all that smack talk has caught up with Soulja Boy. On December 30th, SB got the surprise of his life when he was robbed at gunpoint in his ATL home. According AHH,
the 18 year-old rapper was involved in a “serious situation” on Tuesday night. No one was hurt, but the robbers claimed they used a single weapon and stole $5000 and jewelry from the “Crank That” chart-topper. Soulja Boy’s friend Jbar was also reportedly held hostage.
A day later video footage hit the net of two masked men reppin’ the stick up.
Soulja Boy even posted a few tweets on his Twitter page after the incident.
“Thanking God for my life..Six n****z kicked in my door and tried to kill me.” The messages were later removed.
Soulja Boy finished 2008 getting Yung Berged! Berg kicked things off by first getting stomped out at a club, getting chain jacked and watch it go on tour, getting called homo by Ne-Yo, and lastly getting b*tch slapped by Maino.
And just when you thought Yung Berg had the worst year ever, in comes Soulja Boy. Got dissed on by Charles Hamilton, sold less than 50k albums, and lastly got robbed at gunpoint in his crib. Can we officially say Soulja Boy’s career is over?! You tell me…
Remember the video Yung Berg put up on the net airing out Ne-Yo, but instead of making Ne-Yo look bad he ended up making himself look like a damn fool?! Eventhough Ne-Yo did start this whole mess when he appeared on LA’s radio show Big Boy’s Neighborhood and was asked who he’d like to slap in the industry. And without any hesitation he said Yung Berg, claiming that Berg is jockin’ T-Pain’s style by butchering the “T-Pain effect” on his track “The Business”. Anywhoo, Ne-Yo claims he still hasn’t seen the video which I highly doubt and insists that he’s too mature to get caught up beefing with someone who isn’t even relevant. OUCH!
He says,
“Response for what? That ain’t my lane, dude. I don’t beef. I don’t do that. That ain’t my thing. I don’t do dis records. I don’t do beef. I don’t do any of that blogs talking about cats. I don’t do that. That ain’t my thing. I’m a grown man. I got money to make”.
But, Ne-Yo does blame money hungry artists like Yung Berg for “killing music”. He adds,
“I can’t work with people that’s doing this for the fame element or the money element. I think that’s what’s destroying music. You got cats out here that are copycatting and doing stuff that’s popular. You know, doing it because that’s what’s in right now, whatever the case may be - but basically what you’re doing is killing music. You’re killing the creative element of what this is, which was the basis of this whole thing, which is self-expression.”
I feel Ne-Yo all the way! Nobody has time to be beefin, niccas got paper to make! On another note, Yung Turd needs to devote more of his time in the studio because his sh*t is straight up trash!
Yung Turd has come out of hidden sporting a mohawk and taking jabs at Miss Independent for his “smack talk”. Funny how Yung Berg is smart enough to choose his battles and come at Ne-Yo and not Maino. Not only is the Turd dissin’ Shaffer but he took some time to put pen a song about him…REALLY, berg?! Waste of time!
In other Yung Berg news, check out the world premiere of his new video “Put It On Me” after the cut!
Miss Info posted the blind item/rumor this morning. Fast forward a few hours, Maino calls into Hot 93.7’s Jenny Boom Boom and confirms smacking up light butt! Just let it be known it happened in ATL not NYC, not like it makes a difference. Anywhoo, light butt got lit up for being disrespectful…just listen to the audio and get the play by play. Lol… “I didn’t beat him up, I just smacked him!” First Berg gets robbed and now he gets smacked up, it’s been a bad year for the Berg.
