Woman Down! Frank Ocean commits murder in his latest video “Swim Good.” Ever since he premiered “Novacane,” fans have yearned for more and it seems like Ocean is ready to give. Earlier last week, he delivered “Thinking About You” and now “Swim Good.” Great visuals consist of a panda bear mask, popcorn, monk-like ensemble, a beach, waves, samurai sword, an orange and black Lincoln town car and images of a beauty superimposed through out the video. What does it all mean? Press play…trust you’ll enjoy.

Not only did our favorite MC Barbie take away the Video Music Award for Best Hip Hop Video last night, but she also debuted her new dramatic, post apocalyptic video for the song “Fly,” featuring Rihanna. The video is full of disaster, plane wrecks, couture get-ups and whole lot of mean mugging for the camera.

Realtalk…I could’ve done without this video. Nothing but just another photoshoot brought to life. And what’s with the latex bodysuit and ninjas…where do ninjas fight in all of this. Shouts to the director and Barbie team for thinking this one through! NEXT!

RockSmith presents the video to “A.D.H.D.” by Kendrick Lamar, directed by NYC’s own Va$htie in NYC. This song is one of my favorites from Section80. If you haven’t downloaded it yet…you’re seriously sleeping. Before checking out the video, check out what Vashtie said regarding the video concept:

“I wanted the video to illustrate the emotion he paints with words, while avoiding gratuitous shots of any substance. Despite the song’s title and content, the focus isn’t the drugs, but rather, that basic human experience of apathetic youth. That simple mood of emptiness which we choose to either address or self-medicate.”

STR8 MIXTAPES: WALE – “THE ELEVEN ONE ELEVEN THEORY”

As promised, Wale released a new mixtape after reaching his initial goal of 1 million followers on twitter.
The Eleven One Eleven Theory is Wale’s first mixtape after being picked up by MMG [Maybach Music Group]. This time around Wale let’s go of his Seinfeld inspired tapes which is always an interesting take.
The emcee brings his poetic style of spitting over strong beats, the production on this tape is phenomenal. All original tracks which is always refreshing to hear. I’m definitely a fan of the tape, many thanks to Wale’s followers.

RocNation’s own Bridget Kelly was recorded performing the acoustic version of her single, “Thinking About Forever.” The song was released about a month ago and a leaked demo version by Frank Ocean was also available for listening. The song is written by Mr. Ocean himself, brilliant!

With a busy schedule as a judge on The Voice, a host of own late night show on Fuse and various TV commitments, it was a hassle getting Cee Lo Green to star in his new video “Cry Baby”. Directors went ahead and got the next best thing…Steve Urkel from ABC’s 90s hit show “Family Matters” to play Cee Lo Green.

One of my favs hands down! Miguel is back with a new video for his ultra sexy “Quickie”. The black & white steamy video shows hot chicks in black lingerie all up in Miguel’s mix. He recently chopped it up with Rap-Up about the new video, “I actually have a really special feeling about these videos..I was very hands-on in the execution and the creative elements—from casting to the treatment to choosing the director and cinematography, the entire theme of the two videos—it’s kind of my brainchild.”

Roc Nation’s own and friend to Str8NYC.com, Melanie Fiona is back with another banger off her upcoming project “The MF Life” entitled “Like I Love You” produced by Supa Dups. I can’t help but compare this joint to Rihanna’s “Man Down”…obviously not vocally but the melodies do sound similar.

STR8 TALK: CAN CASSIE “MAKE U A BELIEVER?”

Ummm, how can we put this nicely…NO! Cassie sort of had us with “Me & You” track produced by Ryan Leslie, but the second she dropped R-Les and switched him for Diddy and Bad Boy, her musical career just quickly took a nose dive. Need we remind you all of her tragic BET 106 & Park live performance of “Me & You”…my ears are still bleeding. Not to mention rumors about her being hip hop’s jump-off chick and those nude leak pics…Cassie just had a horrific introduction to music & fame. Fast forward a few years later, Cassie is still with Bad Boy, still Diddy’s “un-official” girl, and back with a new album and surprise, surprise…a mag cover. The girl can’t sing or perform to save her life, but she sure knows how to work a lens. And to further show off her stunning looks, she graces the cover of BLANK magazine’s July 2011 shot by Gomillion and Leupold.

You can hear her new track “Make You A Believer” in the background of this photo-shoot. But does she still have what it takes to make us believe? How can you make us believe after such a let down? Will this be a comeback or just another case of #Epic Fail?!

Did we mention for her next album she’s hoping to collaborate with Prince. Yeah..Prince! I’m still waiting on Alicia Keys to collabo with Prince. Cassie must be living in some kind of dream world…I swear. All I’m saying is…please just stick to modeling.
