Ladies and gents, it’s that time again! The nominations for the recipients of this year’s BET Awards were announced yesterday on 106 & Park and it appears that rappers Lil Wayne and T.I. have are in the lead tying in with five nominations each. Both Lil Wayne and T.I. are neck and neck in the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Viewer’s Choice categories. However, in those categories they are joined by Rick Ross, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Beyonce Knowles, Keri Hilson, Soulja Boy, Rihanna and T-Pain. Newcomer, Kid Cudi is also battling it out with singers Ryan Leslie, M.I.A., Jazmine Sullivan and Keri Hilson for Best New Artist. This year’s BET Awards will be held at Shrine Auditorium in L.A. on Sunday, June 28th at 8 P.M. EST and will be hosted by funny man Jamie Foxx. Beyonce, Maxwell and Ne-Yo are expected to make live performances.

Last night the city was in major gridlock as, Michelle Obama, made her first visit to NYC as first lady. After handling some important business at the United Nations, Michelle attended Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World dinner and afer party. Also in attendance was the Oprah aka Big O, John Legend, M.I.A. just to name a few. And now that Oprah’s a new twitter head, something tells she’ll be changing her profile pic to one above…



And speaking of Twitter, looks like Oprah dabbled in a lil’ tweeting from the event last night. It’s pretty clear Oprah is a huge John Legend fan, but his musical performance was for a lacked something…

On her due date, M.I.A. threw on a pair of kicks and some comfortable preggo gear and rocked the stage at the Grammy’s with Lil’ Wayne, Jay-Z, Kanye, & T.I. for “Swagger Like Us“. Not that I would know, but M.I.A. makes pregnancy look easy.


She’s too fly, belly and all! No word if the baby dropped later that night or today, but I did hear she was feeling some kicks from the M.I.A. jr.
