Hip Hop Heads get ready! The 2011 Lineup for Rock The Bells was just announced and you don’t want to miss the show at all.
This year, Lauryn Hill and Nas headline the 2011 Rock The Bells Shows. Other artists set to rock the stage are: Erykah Badu, Raekwon + Ghostface, Slaughterhouse, Immortal Technique, Mac Miller, Curren$y, Big K.R.I.T. and many more.

The show hits four cities, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Boston.

Lauryn Hill continues to bless the overseas crowd with her highly anticipated performances as she treks her way back to the US for her Rock The Bells debut. Check out Ms. Hill performing “Killing Me Softly” and “Turn the Lights Down Low” below…can’t wait for Lauryn Hill to hit the US! R

Now that Lauryn Hill is scheming on a comeback, should Nicki Minaj (today’s hottest female rapper) start packing her bags and exit stage left?! Is Lboogie, the queen, really back and ready to reign supreme?! Or is Lauryn Hill just smoke and mirrors, doing shows, and leaving us wanting more? Check out the debate HERE. It’s been a minute since we’ve heard any new material from the musical genius, Lauryn Hill. Not sure how old this joint is or if it’ll be featured in her new project but it’s great to hear Ms.Hill is making her back to music…Hopefully I’ll get a chance to see her live at Rock The Bells next month.

LAURYN HILL FINALLY BREAKS HER SILENCE…COMEBACK IN THE WORKS?!

This the best news I’ve got all week…Lauryn Hill finally comes out of hiding and speaks to the press about her disappearance and music. Lauryn Hill is a musical genuis and enigma, like most creative geniuses Lauryn Hill was hip hop’s greatest hope. She managed to merge both pop, soul, RnB, rap, spoken word all into one. Thus making it a phenomenon no one ’till this day can match. L.Boogie is truly one in a million. Luckily for us true & nostalgic L.Boogie fans, she’s heard our cries for an encore and is very much considering making another record. During a recent NPR interview with Zoe Chace, who scored this rare interview with the superstar following a show out in Santa Rose, California- Ms. Hill finally opened up to talk about why she stopped recording, her creative addiction, and a possible comeback in the works. But before we listen to the interview, it must be noted Zoe Chace’s experience in scoring this AMAZING interview….

NPR’s Zoe Chace, in her report on Hill, says that before the interview she is told not to touch the singer or look her in the eye, and that Hill, instead of addressing people directly, sometimes writes directions on a post-it note and sticks it on people’s chests. Chace says that she didn’t actually expect to get an interview but was pleasantly surprised when Hill tells her to get in her car after a show. She says Hill appears to be “very sane, very serious, still so beautiful.”

Chace asks Hill why she stopped putting out albums, and Hill replies that “There were a number of different reasons, but partly, y’know, the support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, things that I needed to go through and experience, in order for me to feel like it was worth it.”

Hill, who grew up listening to male vocalists such as Jackie Wilson, Donny Hathaway, and Stevie Wonder, says she’s looking for ways to increase her vocal range.

“Most people have never really heard me sing-sing-sing,” Hill says. “If I do record next time, perhaps there will be an expanded context. People can hear a bit more.”

Hill, who has five children, also tells NPR that she may be ready to record some new material, now that her kids are starting to grow up. “I think it’s just time, and I’m starting to get excited again,” Hill says. Source

WOW!!! Realtalk, if and when Lauryn drops with a new record, its sure to be a problem, no doubt! Yes she’s been gone for far too long, but her comeback will be very much appreciated and welcomed with screams and open arms…best believe it!

Lauryn Hill probably shocked herself and others when she finally stepped out of her crib to make a public appearance. Yesterday, the legendary singer/ rapper resurfaced at the “Tanzania Education Trust Gala & Reception” held at the Plaza Athenee in NYC.

Remember when Lauryn looked all crazy and deranged a while back?

Well, I must say when Lauryn cleans up…she cleans up nice! Check her out!

WYCLEF SAYS “NO” TO FUGEES REUNION + SPEAKS ON LAURYN HILL!

Wondering if the Fugees will ever get back on stage together?! Don’t hold ya breath ’cause it ain’t gonna happen…ever! According to Wyclef, a reunion would just destroy the “myth” of the Fugees. He says,

“To me, they’re (Fugees) great and they’re gonna always be great. But the Fugees, it’s better that it leaves the myth vibe. Like The Score is a myth. When you hear it, it’s a myth. It was done in the basement. Like you don’t wanna go from there to do a sequel and you’ve destroyed your complete myth.”

Although Wyclef has no plans to reunite with the Fugees, he doesn’t have any ill feelings towards the group’s frontwoman, Lauryn Hill. In fact Wyclef goes on to praise her as being one of the best in the music business. He adds,

“When I met Lauryn she was 14. Til today, I’ve worked with a whole lot of women in the studio…her talent surpasses talent. She’s the best rapper, she’s the best singer. It’s all equal. It’s not like she’s gonna sing a song and when she rhymes she’s gonna slack on it.”

Forget the Fugees! When is Lauryn going to get her act together and put out some sh*t? The game misses you Miss Hill!
