Looks like Kanye’s got a friend in John Mayer or least someone who sympathizes with him. Unlike most people, John realizes that the backlash ‘Ye received after ruining Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards was a bit too much– I agree! He tells Access Hollywood,

“If you just woke up now and you looked at the backlash on Kanye you’d think that he actually firebombed the stage. It’s the MTV Video Music Awards, not the G8 summit. Kanye West got in more trouble than the guy who yelled, ‘You lie!’ to the president. [He] got like a two-day slap on the wrist and Kanye West – his entire career is in escrow because he jumped on stage at the Video Music Awards.”

John has a valid point, it’s like Kanye killed somebody. The media didn’t really make a big deal when Lil PaPa MaMa hopped on stage during Jay-Z and Alicia’s set. Why is that?! For one, that type of behavior should be expected ’cause it’s Kanye. Dude is known for just saying crazy sh*t, from his Bush “Doesn’t like black people” rant to his child-like antics at award shows. Secondly, ‘Ye was spotted drinking a bottle of Hennessey before the show even started…so we can really blame it on the ah-ah ah-ah ah-al-co-hol!

Singer Omarion has taken a few shots at Kanye West’s bisexual/stripper/video vixen girlfriend Amber Rose, insisting  he would never date a chick like her because she lacks “class”. OUCH! Earlier this year, it was rumored that Omarion secretly tied the knot with a bisexual stripper who was employed at Magic City in ATL, however he claims that he’s not even dating  and unlike Katy Perry he doesn’t like girls who kiss other girls and actually like it. He tells Sister 2 Sister magazine,

“No disrespect, but no Amber Rose for me. Everybody has their past – and don’t get me wrong, I’m not judgmental at all – but I do like a certain amount of class.”

As for rumors about his relationship status, Omarion decided to set the record straight. He adds,

“I’m not married. I’m chilling. At this moment I’m not (dating). I have friends that I converse with, and I have that male-female camaraderie, but there’s no girlfriend at the moment.”

Omarion does have a point about Amber lacking class. Seems like nowadays dudes are wifing up hoes and trying to turn them into housewives. But, they’re failing to realize that you can’t turn a hoe into a damn housewife! Don’t get me wrong, I respect Amber’s hustle ’cause shorty used what she had to get to what she wanted, but I don’t think she’s a good match for Kanye. Poor Donda is probably turning in her grave right now. Either way, I’m for “Team Alexis” and Kanye needs an intervention ASAP!

A while back it was rumored that the Louis Vuitton Don aka Kanye West quit rapping for singing after he switched up his sound for his latest album, 808s and Heartbreak. Well, if that were true Kanye would definitely need to take a few singing lessons. According to his protégé Mr. Hudson, ‘Ye is actually back in the studio spittin’ rhymes for a traditional hip-hop record. He says,

“Kanye’s getting back into rapping. He might make an old-school record on a tape deck, just like the Beastie Boys used to do. Just a drum machine, ghetto blaster and a microphone.”

Meanwhile, Busta Rhymes’ pockets have just gotten a little lighter as he’s been ordered to pay $75,000 to a fan he allegedly assaulted in 2003. Busta’s alleged beatdown victim, Alex Duncan accused the rapper and his bodyguard of whoopin’ his ass during a break at the rapper’s concert in Albany, NY. Duncan won the case due to an emotional testimony in which he claimed the ass whoopin’ was so severe that he suffered from anxiety attacks and nightmares ever since. Busta tells the NY Post,

“I don’t even go to parties anymore, because there’s always someone asking, ‘What happened to that Busta Rhymes case?’”

Rapper Fifty Cent is no stranger to drama ’cause he’s always in the middle of some mess. It’s quite obvious that Fifty has something against Jay-Z and his lil’ bro Kanye West, however Fifty maintains that he really doesn’t concern himself with that they do and stresses that they’re not his friends. He told The Canadian Press,

“Well, I don’t say lemme talk about these other guys for no reason. If they come up in conversation based on something they’ve said about me, then we’ll discuss it. But I have no interest in talking about them, like they’re not friends of mine. They involved in the same business and are part of the same culture, I’m aware of them, but I can care less about ‘em.”

He adds,

“Your friends are people you call for no reason. … I don’t call these people. You know, ’cause we write music and we do some of the same things for a living, people make comparisons and they act like we actually have relationships when we don’t know each other. All I know is their work.”

Fifty’s Before I Self Destruct will finally see the light of day on November 23rd. Uh oh, looks like Rihanna has some major competition!

After the sudden cancellation of her highly-anticipated tour with Kanye West, citing “creative differences”; Lady GaGa is trying hard to prove that nothing can hold her down and has decided to go on tour with rap newcomer Kid Cudi instead. She says in a statement:

“Due to diligent work and preparation, The Monster Ball will begin on November 27 in Montreal. The Monster Ball is a multimedia artistic experience int he style of the first-ever ‘pop electro opera’”.

Lady GaGa and Kid Cudi will hit Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami and have saved the best city for last, New York City to conclude their North American trek on January 21^st of next year.

So Kid Cudi is basically the rebound guy…
