Last month Bow Wow posted a vlog going in on Columbia Records for not knowing how to properly market a hip hop artist, today Columbia Records drops him! Despite getting his walking papers, Bow Wow’s tweets seem very optimistic and downright happy & thankful.

There’s also rumors circulating Jim Jones got dropped from Columbia too. Yet his twitter hasn’t confirmed the rumor.
Meanwhile TheYBF reports:

“Our A&R source at Columbia Records tells TheYBF.com that rappers Bow Wow and Jim Jones have just been dropped from the label. We called the Columbia offices to get an official statement, but it was after hours. Columbia has, though, removed both artists from their website.”

You never know who’s going to show up at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert. The King of New York, Jay-Z brought the King of Pop aka Michael Jackson on stage with him back in 2001. Last year, Method Man, Akon, Jim Jones, Fat Joe, LL Cool J and Ghostface Killah took the stage surprising shocked fans. I highly doubt that this year’s concert is going to be any different ‘cause you never know what to expect at Summer Jam! This year’s line up features the Mary J. Blige, T-Pain, The Dream, Young Jeezy, Jadakiss, Elephant Man, reggae newcomers Mavado and Serani and many more.

Jadakiss recently revealed to MTV that he’s coming out on top at this year’s concert and has a few surprises in store for fans. According to Jada, he’s no longer stuck with opening for other artists, this year he’s going on much later in the show. He says,

“I always try to give one or two surprises. I know they wanna see me. I just dropped a new [album, The Last Kiss], so I gotta keep the surprise guests to a minimum. I might give you Jazmine [Sullivan]. I might give you something nice and soft and something nice and hard. It’s gonna be a good look, though. I feel real good about his one this year.”

This year’s show will be hosted by funnyman Tracy Morgan and will take place at Giants Stadium at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Jim Jones came to my city on a tour with another rapper. I went to the show with my sister and a couple of our friends. I was a lil intoxicated and ended up losing everybody I was with. On some ol’ humbug type shit, I just really asked one of the security guards if I could go backstage….my outfit was pretty hot (lol). I was backstage just walking around and stumbled upon Jimmy and Freaky Zeaky, Jimmy asks me “what I was doing” so me I play the dumb role and was like ” I lost my sister”, you know the damsel in distress, lol. He asked me to come and chill with them, I’m like “you sure?” He like “yeah”, so I’m in there and next thing you know he pulls out some money and I must admit he was holding that night so I’m like “can I have some?”

He like “what you gonna give me?” I’m like “whatever baby” so he cash’s me out and we are fucking on a table, he just bent me over the table and hit it from the back for like 5 mins, and then put me on my back with one leg on his shoulder(while his dude is watching).It was alright though….you will not believe this guy put his finger in my ass!!!!!!!! I wasn’t feeling that at all but hey its his dime. I must admit he’s a sweaty muthafucka and he was talking shit too like ” you like this bitch” I must admit I kinda liked it…the talking not the sex cause my butt was sore for a couple days!!!! I thought that he gave me like $600.00 but it was more like five something, tell you the truth though…I would have let him get it for free,lol. If he wasn’t sweating so much I think it would have been better. Sweaty Ass!!

When Jim Jones took the stage starring in the off-Broadway play “Hip-Hop Monologues: Inside the Life and Mind of Jim Jones” he didn’t do it because he loves acting, rather he did it to stack up his paper. Jimmy hopes that he’s started a new trend for other rappers to find different avenues to make money. He says,

“I’m not one of the people who say I do things for the craft of it. Even though when I get on camera you think that (I’m) a crafty individual, but I’m all about the money and whatever it takes for me to get that money, I’m going to master that”.


He adds,

“I should hope I’ve created a new lane for rappers who are woody enough to complete a task like this to go into a whole other form of revenue”.
