Last night ya gurl, LexAve, stepped out and attended a private viewing of newbie Bronx artist Jaysun video “Get Busy” featuring Diplomats Capo, Jim Jones aka Jenny Jones (as I like to call him, just jokes ppl) and Freekey Zekey presented by premiere clothing line, Rocksmith Tokyo at NYC’s Truffle Restaurant. Overall it was an intimate meet and greet where Freekey aka Ezekiel Jiles made the rounds with Jim Jones and Jaysun meeting everyone in the room. After the video premiere the evening ending with everyone enjoying Dipset Cupcakes. Cute touch…yet the entire time I was wondering where was Jimmy’s wifey and his ghettofabulous mom…gotta love them. Other attendees included DJ Killtouch, the staff of Rocksmith Clothing, Grafh, Chris Classic. Music video was director up and coming female director Janelle Abrahams who have worked with Vado and many more.

It’s safe to say that VH1 is giving everybody and their mama a reality show nowadays. Well, they’ve got another hit on their hands with their new show “Love & Hip-Hop” which features “the women of Hip-hop”, Swizz Beats’ ex-wife Mashonda, singer and G-Unit’s former first lady Olivia, Fabolous’ babymama Emily Bustamante, Jim Jone’s wifey Christine Lampkin, Joe Budden’s ex-jumpoff model/aspiring rapper Somaya Reece. The show hits television screens Monday, March 14th at 10:30 PM EST. From the looks of it, this show is filled with D-R-A-M-A! Check out the trailer below…

JIM JONES SUED BY VIDEO CHICKS…

Looks like the Capo, Jim Jones is in some serious hot water! According to the NY Daily News, the Harlem rapper is being sued by two chicks from Houston, Samantha Stotts and Sharie Johnson, who appear in his new “Summer Time” video for making them look like “hoes” on camera. Apparently, the two chicks were chillin’ in South Beach, when Jimmy and his goons began filming them as they were running around half-naked on the beach. According to them, they had no idea their ta-tas would end up on the Internet for the world to see.

“It makes me look like I’m a ho. They made us look very risqué,” Stotts said. “That’s not my personality.”

The video which was posted on YouTube, garnered more than 30,000 views before being pulled down yesterday for violating the site’s “policy on nudity or sexual content”.

“I don’t have a problem with rap-video girls,” Johnson said. “But I never wanted to do this. It just makes it not fun for people to go to Miami. If I ever go to Miami again, I’m never, ever going to be topless again.”

So, they really thought Jimmy and his crew were just filming them for their own enjoyment when they had bottles of champagne, stacks of cash and strippers on deck? Give me a break!

JIM JONES SCHOOLING KIDS ABOUT THE MUSIC BIZ…WHY?!

A while back, rapper Jim Jones revealed to RapRadar that he was becoming a high school music teacher…well not in those exact words. MTV recently caught up with the Capo who confirmed that he will be teaching a course called “Music Business 101″ at an NYC high school beginning Tuesday, April 27th. Jimmy will be teaching 25 kids the ins and outs of the music business for six weeks.

“I’ll be teaching … once a week for eight weeks. Hopefully, the kids will come on out and get up and close with the music business from an executive point of view, from an artist point of view, from a label-owner point of view, from a marketing-genius point of view, from a video director’s point of view, from a manger’s point of view. Me, I’mma tell you all of that. You heard.”

What can Jimmy actually teach these kids?! It’s not like he’s calling the shots like Diddy and Jay-Z. Anywhoo, I can’t knock him for trying to be a positive role model.

Earlier today while browsing through the Twittersphere, I stumbled upon Harlem’s Capo Jim Jones‘ tweet calling out a certain rapper. Well, it didn’t take much to figure out who he was talking about. Apparently, Jimmy saw Loso’s new video “Body Ya” and decided to express how he felt about it via Twitter.

Fab picked up on the subliminal an hour later…

Why can’t these rappers just get along?! I don’t think Jimmy wants it with the “King of Twitter” ’cause Fab just might “body” him!

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! MELYSSA FORD SET FOR THEATRICAL DEBUT IN NEW PLAY

Video vixen Melyssa Ford is on a mission to eradicate the bad rep Karrine “Superhead” Steffans has given video chicks. Miss Ford is one vixen who has goals beyond letting every rapper in the music industry smash and dishing about her sexcapades in a tell-all. Having been featured in Chris Rock’s film “Good Hair“, her latest venture is a play titled “For Vixens Who Have Considered Homicide When the Video Became Too Much”. According to Melyssa, she was inspired by rapper Jim Jones’ “Hip-Hop Monologues”.

“When I saw Jim Jones play I was really inspired by it,” she told TeamYee.TV at the Belvedere Lounge in Miami during Superbowl weekend. “That night I had to meet the director/writer/producer of the play… and we created a theatrical experience based on my life.”

This sounds really interesting…can’t wait for opening night!

Capo Jim Jones recently chopped it up with Complex magazine and gave his two sense about 50 Cent and Jay-Z’s beef, confirmed the fact that he is indeed a fan of Jay-Z’s music and why he believes his hit “Ballin’” is better than Jay-Z’s “I Just Want to Love You (Give It to Me)” which came in at the No. 1 spot on the publication’s “Top 100 Songs of the 2000′s” list. Complex: Are you referring to the video that surfaced of you boppin’ in the club to Jay’s verse on “Swagga Like Us?”

Jim Jones: I’m still a fan of the music, so pardon me. I still listen to all the music, you might catch me boppin’ in the club to niggas I hate, but that has nothing to do with good music. My personal issues has nothing to do with my artistic likes. If he has a hot record, he has a hot record. That shit with Alicia is dope, dope as hell. I’m not giving him props, I just like the music. I don’t give a fuck about him, fuck that nigga and the camel he rode in on. If he has a dope ass record though, what the fuck you going to do? It’s fucked up though because they don’t play “Ballin’” in the 40/40 club, that’s the hating shit I be talking about. I’ve got confirmation from DJs who have been kicked out for playing that record.

Complex: It seems like you’re the last person Jay fully responded to, when he did the Brooklyn “Ballin’” remix.

Jim Jones: Yeah, and he shouted me out on the beginning of The Blueprint 3, right? That was hot. How many albums he sold? I got a shout out, a million sold records, nigga! [laughs]. And you know I’m about to chop and screw that shit and make a hook out of it. “ I ain’t talking bout Jimmy, I ain’t talking about Jimmy.” That’s going to be the hook. See how easy that’d be? And that’s going to kill. And no, I ain’t clearing the publishing. [Laughs]

Complex: Why do you think he’ll respond to you, but he won’t respond to 50?

Jim Jones: I don’t know. Jay’s a smart dude too, man. Sometimes I guess you respond to certain things that keep your ass in the game. We damn sure definitely playing in the same ball game when it come to that. But if I was 50—they got some money over there. If I was 50, I’d run down and snuff the shit out of him. That’s what I would do. I would go get some fly-ass security, back his security down on some football shit, and just run down on him, snuff the shit out him. But I ain’t got a hundred million and shit like that. So we couldn’t pull that stunt. Now that’s publicity.

Jay takes another shot-that’s-not-a-shot at the Capo in his upcoming XXL interview. Too bad Jimmy isn’t dropping an album anytime soon. All this free press from Jay would help boost his numbers.

Understood, but you’re one of the few rappers whose movement is still followed by artists old and young. How conscious are you of that position?

…Like I said, if the genre needs the game to be stretched out, ‘cause you have those guys who are 35 years old trying to make smiley face or whatever, competing with Soulja Boy.

Ha! That’s a Trey Songz record with Soulja Boy on it. It’s hot. They’re clearly aiming at the young kids with that track.

It’s not funny though. [Laughs] I mean, like Jim Jones, for example. And I don’t mean this because we never see eye to eye. He made “Na Na Nana Na.” [Laughs] What’s the difference between “Smiley Face” and “Na Na Nana Na”? Na Na Nana Na” could’ve been called “Smiley Face” [Sings] I got the smiley face, na na nana na na.

BOW WOW x JIM JONES GET DROPPED FROM COLUMBIA RECORDS?!

Last month Bow Wow posted a vlog going in on Columbia Records for not knowing how to properly market a hip hop artist, today Columbia Records drops him! Despite getting his walking papers, Bow Wow’s tweets seem very optimistic and downright happy & thankful.

Looks like Bow Wow is taking this newfound freedom as a blessing to do bigger and better things…time will tell.

There’s also rumors circulating Jim Jones got dropped from Columbia too. Yet his twitter hasn’t confirmed the rumor. Meanwhile TheYBF reports:

“Our A&R source at Columbia Records tells TheYBF.com that rappers Bow Wow and Jim Jones have just been dropped from the label. We called the Columbia offices to get an official statement, but it was after hours. Columbia has, though, removed both artists from their website.”
