In a recent interview with Complex, West Coast rapper The Game discusses his new album The R.E.D Album, his beef with arch rivals 50 Cent and Jay-Z, and Interscope Records. Check out these interesting excerpts:

Complex: 50’s been baiting Jay-Z recently. As someone who’s had issues with both of them, how do you feel about him going after Jay?

“Oh yeah, I already did that Jay-Z thing. 50’s just doing what I’m doing. Nobody went at Jay, I went at Jay. Now everybody wants to get at Jay, not saying anything about Beanie Sigel, that’s personal and I stay out of that. He’s just a man and he’s got all the right in the world, but I feel like I did something that people have been wanting to do, but everybody is scared because Jay-Z is so lyrically inclined to cut your throat and your career in half that nobody wanted to do it. But me? I just don’t give a fuck sometimes.”

Complex: What do you think that the result of that battle would be?

” Jay-Z will fuck 50 up in a battle! It would be so fast and over with. 50 is funny, but Jay is witty. Jay-Z is not to be toyed with. If he fuckin’ responds, if he feels like you’re really pissing him off and he responds, he’s gonna fuck you up! He would fuck me up, I’m just glad he didn’t fuckin’ respond, so I didn’t have to go dig in my fuckin’ bag and try to fuck him up. I definitely think that Jay-Z didn’t come at me like he came at any other rappers because I definitely would have been more disrespectful and once you start a beef with me you better be ready to go the whole motherfuckin’ 12 rounds because I will try to chew your fuckin’ ear off like Mike Tyson. I’ll do it and I think he knew that—I’m disrespectful. So Jay, he did the right thing and just kinda let it die down and I let it die down ’cause it wasn’t anything really. It was fuckin’ fun and I really admire Jay’s career. I just really don’t care too much for the man himself.”

The Game already knows…nobody wants it with Hov. So, 50 Cent needs to stay in his lane ’cause he’s never gonna get a response from Jay. Jay-Z been off that!

Last week we reported that Jay-Z let the cat out of the bag that he and wifey Beyonce are working on starting their very own dynasty. Well, either Jay is just confused or Beyonce is trying to do some rumor control ’cause according to her “it’s not time for that yet”. She says,

“It’s not time for that yet. But definitely there will be a time. I want to be a great mother, the kind of mother that I have. I want the same bond that I had with my mom and that would be enough for me. Adding,”The security and love I feel being in a relationship, a marriage, it’s absolutely incredible. Incredible.”

When are these two going to start a family? I hope Beyonce realizes that Jay’s clock is ticking ’cause mixing up old sperm with a fresh egg can have damaging effects.

Ever wondered if a battle between Hip-hop’s heavy weights Jay-Z and 50 Cent will ever take place?! Apparently, 50  is itching to battle Jay as he recently told MTV that it would be “great for Hip-hop”. He says,

“Well, it would be great. It would be great for hip-hop.” He adds,”It would probably be interesting, but I don’t think one of us will survive it. I don’t have a relationship with Jay-Z. We’re just both a part of hip-hop culture. We’re not friends. We don’t call each other to talk at leisure.”

50 Cent got another thing coming if he thinks Jay-Z is going to waste his time beefing with his ass. As for 50 stating that if they were to battle that neither of them would survive it.. uh I beg to differ. Jay-Z would definitely eat up what’s left of 50’s music career!

After a host of mixtapes, Washington D.C. native Wale finally got the moment he’s been patiently waiting for–the release of his long-awaited debut album Attention Deficit. Wale recently chopped it up with MTV about the tone of the album and why he considers it to be “like a child”.

“It’s supposed to be all over the place. It’s just like channel surfing: There’s no one sound. I couldn’t go with one sound.” “I think when you put your blood, sweat and tears behind something and keep it honest, I think it always comes out,” he says. “It’s like a child to me. This album is closer to me than any artist has felt about their debut album. It’s so symbolic. We never thought this day was gonna come. It’s got a bar code and artwork!”

We’ve seen the pictures and we’ve read the flirty Tweets which have all suggested that Wale and Solange have a lil’ thing going on. Although they haven’t actually confirmed that they’re an item, but Wale’s recent interview with Honey magazine might as well be the icing on the cake. When asked about Solange, the rapper got all giddy and admitted that he loves her. He tells Honey,

“I do love her,” he admits of Solange, flashing a Cheshire. “We’re friends. She’s amazing. She’s a good person. Any single mother contributing to society the way she does — I got a lot of love for them. She’s got to do a lot on her own and raise a young black man in this day and age, so my hat goes off to her. She’s definitely an anomaly. And the way she can do that and manage to do the same things that I complain about having to do.”

His affection is as obvious as a set of flushed cheeks. And impossibly adorable. Wale, the former mixtape rapper from inner city DC, is borderline giddy. “Did you interview Solange about me?” Wale asks. He’s sprawled across his bed; head practically buried in the pillow. “Did she smile when you mentioned my name?”

So is a co-sign from Jay-Z merely enough to keep Wale’s star shining bright?

In related Jay-Z news, the rapper recently announced the North American dates for his 2010 “Blueprint 3 Tour”. Jay-Z will embark on a stateside tour starting February 22^nd in Houston. Rapper Young Jeezy is also scheduled to open all dates on the tour. As if experiencing Jay-Z live in concert already isn’t enough, he’s enlisted ATL rapper Young Jeezy to open up every show! Tickets go on sale November 13th, get em before they sell out. You already know tickets to see ya boy Jay perform sell out in less than 5 minutes!

Word is one of the reasons Alicia Keys decided to push back her new album The Element of Freedom is because she wanted to spend more time working on “Empire State of Mind Part 2”. Yep, her duet with Jay-Z was so monumental that the songstress and the rapper have decided to return to the studio to record the sequel.  And fans aren’t the only ones in love with the New York Anthem, apparently Alicia “fell in love” with the track the moment she stepped in the booth. She recently told MTV,

“Obviously, I’m very grateful to him [Jay-Z] for reaching out to me and for that type of ability to represent my hometown, like, that was crazy. So we went to the studio. I went to the studio, and … I fell in love from the jump.”

“The Element of Freedom” in stores December 15th!

I hope that Part 2 just doesn’t fall short…

Rihanna is actually one of Glamour Magazine’s “Women of the Year”, the Bajan beauty shares the title with First Lady Michelle Obama, Serena Williams, and other powerful women in the publication’s December 2009 issue. Glamour snagged an in depth interview with The Good Girl Gone Bad in which she touched on her beatdown drama with ex-boo Chris Brown for the first time in detail, her style, her success and how she poured all of her emotion into her upcoming albu, “Rated R”. Check out these interesting excerpts:

“My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.”

Rihanna also took a moment to reflect on a bit of advice mentor Jay-Z gave her about the challenge of getting people to relate to her as simply a human being.

“Before, there was innocence to me. It was a perfect image. So the minute I did something imperfect, it was a big deal. I think that’s what he was referring to: People forget that after we get to our hotel rooms at night, we take a shower, we watch TV, eat room service and do normal things. Behind it all, we are still human beings.”

So eight months after Chris Brown whooped her ass she decides to finally break her silence?! I’m not buying it one bit! Realtalk, this comes off as a PR Stunt to me because this is definitely perfect timing…her album is scheduled to drop any day now. I guess RiRi’s team is equating sympathy with dollar signs.
