With Simon Cowell stepping down from his spot in the judging panel of “American Idol” there’s been talk that funnyman Jamie Foxx is in the running to take his place. According to Jamie, he’s really interested in the position and would definitely hop on the opportunity if producers decide to holla at him. He says,

“Everybody keeps asking me. Of course I would take over for Mr. Cowell. If they officially ask, I’m there. I’m just waiting. I just think it’s amazing that on American Idol those guys like Simon and my man, Randy, make so much dough from watching people that are talented. That’s amazing to me and I could sit there and listen just like they do.”

Jamie Foxx admits that when it comes to birthdays, anniversaries and even Valentine’s Day dudes often forget and wait until the very last minute to act.  He says,

“I’m feeling the pressure a little bit, but I can handle it. The thing is preparation. You see, us dudes have a procrastination gene. We wait until the last minute. I’m bad on Valentine’s Day, but even worse on Christmas. I go shopping at nine o’clock on December 24th every year. Nobody else is there. I’m in Toys ‘R’ Us all by myself. I get there five minutes before closing. But, for Valentine’s Day you gotta get going because if you haven’t made those reservations, like, two weeks in advance, then you can just forget about it. And you’ve got to remember all of those dates, like the birthdays and anniversaries, and all of that. Put them in your cell phone if you have to.”

Word got out that comedian/singer Jamie Foxx would be stepping in to replace “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell on the hit reality TV talent show. Well, Jamie decided to squash the rumor once and for all insisting that he’s in no way shape or form taking Simon’s job. He tells E!,

“I would love to do it but I don’t think I would be able to do it. I don’t think I could fill Simon’s shoes, but I would give it another perspective…what I want is for the kids to go from being contest participants to artists and that’s where I would come in.”

Ahh man! Jamie should really consider taking Simon’s spot. Jamie’s crazy a$$ would definitely give folks including myself a reason to tune in.

R&B quartet Jagged Edge recently chopped it up with funnyman Jamie Foxx on his SiriusXM Foxxhole radio show about their song writing process.  The group also explained that their ultimate goal is to make “love making music”…well not in those exact words. But you get the point!

Jagged Edge’s comeback album The Remedy is set to drop May 2010. Group member Kyle Norman recently told Billboard.com,

“Jagged Edge wants a new creation, a new birth. We want to bring a little light to what we’ve been doing for the past 11-12 years.”

Nowadays, you can’t tell anyone anything especially if it’s personal ‘cause it may possibly become a news headline. While on the Wendy Williams show, Garcelle Beauvais spoke of her close relationship with Jamie Foxx and accidentally revealed that he knocked someone up. SCAN-DA-LOUS! She inadvertently told Wendy,

“We’re very cool, we saw each other on Easter Sunday… and he told me that he had a new baby and I said, ‘Jamie, wow! Do I know the babymama?’ and he goes, ‘No.’ And I go, ‘Do you know the babymama?’”

Apparently stunned by the juicy tidbit, The Queen of All Media asked her audience if they knew Jamie was a daddy again, adding,

“Thank you for the hot topic titbit.”

After realizing that she blew up Jamie’s spot on television, Garcelle looked into the camera and said,

“J, I’m sorry!”

The show then went straight to a commercial break. Jamie’s mouthpieces have yet to address this rumor.
