DAME DASH EXPLAINS WHY HE’S BROKE…

Wondering how Damon Dash went from being a mogul to facing foreclosure and owing $2 million in state taxes?! Well, Dame blames his generous nature for his financial woes insisting that he spent too much time helping others succeed, including his soon to be ex-wife Rachel Roy and Jim Jones that he lost sight of his own career. He says,

“My mistake was watching everyone else’s careers and not watching mine.” He adds, “After being able to settle my wife’s company, I was able to start doing other things. My first approach was the music business and getting with Jim Jones… I spent the last six months doing research, trying to figure out how to use all my resources to blow this out (make his album a hit)”.

It’s quite obvious that Dame wasted his time building Rachel’s career ’cause now she wants out of their marriage and unfortunately he’s going broke! Can Jimmy salvage what’s left of Dame’s career?!
Maybe its time Dame Dash reconsider the next chick to wife up…maybe that’ll give a career booster- peep some potential rebound chicks HERE!

DAME DASH SINGLE AND BROKE?!

Poor Dame Dash can’t get a break. First his ex-best friend/partner, Jay-Z dropped his ass and now his designer wife Rachel Roy is saying “Peace” to him too! Word is Rachel filed for divorce in New York’s Manhattan Supreme Court earlier this month. Although much of her success with her fashion line can be credited to Dame, she’s aware of his financial woes as the divorce is for “nonmonetary relief”. As if things couldn’t be worse for Dame, he’s facing foreclosure on two of his New York properties, owes $2 million in state taxes and is also being sued by various lawfirms and landlords over unpaid bills.

What the hell did Dame do with his bread?! Instead of hittin’ the clubs with his teenage son he better start hittin them books to figure out where all his money went!

Check out Dame Dash supporting his 17 year old son, Damon Dash Jr. A.K.A DJ Heir$ Boogz djing for a New Years Eve party at NYC’s nightclub Plumm. Word is Jr. just finished an album with his new group the Heir$, titled, Heir$ to the Throne. Apparently Dame Dash Sr. is counting on Jr. to carry the family name. Let’s just hope he learned from daddy’s mistakes and pay his taxes on time.

RACHEL ROY IS FUNDING DAMON DASH!

We’re all very much aware of Damon Dash’s financial woes, with his car being repossessed and his $2 million owed in backed taxes and who knows what else. But these money problems aren’t weighing down the mogul. While he was partying at jeweler Waris Ahluwalia’s Belvedere Vodka party two weeks ago, Damon revealed his wife, designer Rachel Roy, is “helping him stay afloat.”

“Rachel is keeping me busy. Selling Rachel’s company to Jones Apparel Group was a big deal [reportedly worth $4 Billion].”

But poor Rachel will have to step her hustle game if they intend on saving their Tribeca condos from being foreclosed? Right now, Damon is investing on new pet project, Jim Jones, to hit mainstream and break major sales…maybe Dame shouldn’t put all his eggs in one basket, I’m just saying.
As for Rachel, kudos to her for supporting her man in these trying times. Will other industry wives step up like she is, I highly doubt it.

Granted Kanye can act like a spoiled lil’ brat at times, but it’s kind of hard to believe that he’s beefing with Jay-Z over a damn chain! According to Damon Dash, the bitter ex-homie/partner of Jay-Z, back in 2003 at a concert in Chicago, Kanye demanded that Jay “knight” him with a chain. But, Jay refused to lend his bling to the then up-and-coming star who was signed onto Roc-A-Fella Records. Dame claims that this incident in particular caused Kanye to hate Jay ever since. Really?! He tells the December ’08 issue of Complex,

“This n**ger (West) was like, ‘Wow, (Jay-Z) ain’t going to give me this chain. I had to take off my chain and give it to him, and I was heated. I had the real canary diamonds. That s**t cost $40,000. I told Kanye, ‘Yo, you got to give that back when we get off this stage!”.

However, Kanye’s mouthpiece has totally dismissed Dame’s claims telling the NY Daily News that the report is “ridiculous and totally false”. Kanye has enough bread to cop as many chains as he wants to “knight” his damn self! Real talk, Dame needs to worry about his financial woes instead of trying to start up some drama.
This all sounds another 50 Cent move. Could Dame be stirring up beef to bring attention to his latest protege Jim Jones?!
